Our cat has just started her campaign for me to go to bed. She starts "shouting"at me, head butting my leg and
coming in and out of my computer/TV room. She did this last night as well but at least it was later than now. Moto2
race was stopped and awaiting a restart so I did go to bed. As soon as I was getting in she joined me under the covers.
SWMBO was already asleep so didn't notice, anyway said cat then revealed her true reason................ her paws were
very cold :ymsigh: as I found out when she placed them on my back whilst I was on my side. The only saving grace was
that her paws are considerably smaller than SWMBOs cold feet. Human cold feet are totally forbidden to touch my person. :ymdevil:

Greetings,
done this once and forgot to submit :(
now 21 for 28 with 55% light rain later, means nothing
Glad Mrs IB is well enough to face the world..
Did a whole disk backup overnight, which it has reported successful so after the fresh bread hunt it is a combination of a second coat on the handrail and new HDD.
I may be gone some time.

Good news Ibbie. Thanks for the reminder Wodders must do a backup.

Just introduced the boys to a Black and Decker Workmate to saw some steps. I presume they still make them? Hadn't seen it in 20 yrs until it arrived with our kit from the UK.

Heard Senior Management get up and go to the bathroom about 03:30 so wandered into the back bedroom to stare at moon. She heard me and assumed something had gone wrong but was quite pleased (I think) when I told her why. Then we both went back to sleep. i-)

House cleaned, swim swum, mid-morning coffee partaken of and bathroom under-floor heating controller checked and proved to be faulty (power going in, nothing coming out despite light telling me relay is operating). Maybe I should have checked thermostat before calling out electrician and paying him £54 to tell me that. :( Needless to say the particular model I have is now discontinued so his advice to replace like with like could be a bit difficult.

Glad to hear Mrs IB is recovered, hopefully that will continue.

Yes. Workmates are still in production - I bought a new one a few years ago. Excellent devices.

OK huge problems with vermin but currently 25° inside but 37° outside. Next door have a corrugated iron roof. They are probably baking bread in there. :-o

My theory is that the female of the species has evolved with cold feet so that they can exact revenge for any supposed slight by placing their ice like feet on us in bed :-o :-o

Morning all-persisting down here. We have had 5 inches of rain so far today and we are under a flash flood warning. I picked the wrong week to burn some leave time. I am surrounded by disgruntled pets. The cats are annoyed because they can't go out and the dogs are annoyed because I kicked them out to pee. A contrary bunch to be sure. I shall retire to my book nook for the duration and they can all be grumbly without me.

And for the record, yes I do have cold feet, but I never subject hubs to cold plates. Mainly because there is usually an animal of some description blocking the way

Funnily enough I used to have cold peripherals until the 'm' thing happened, now I'm more like a hot potato in bed :| Not necessarily a benefit in the current climate! :(

Just popping back to the local to say goodbye to present owners, Miguel and his brother Antonio, who I have known for all the years I've been here.

They are moving back "home" to Avala, Castilla y Leon (North west of Madrid)to take over their ageing parents hotel and restaurant.

Hmm, a most irritating day for various reasons.

Still, have just chucked a chook in the oven, so maybe things will get better in a couple of hours.

Afternoon all. Enjoying this sunny spell which looks set to continue into the weekend and beyond. :)

Roast chicken was had yesterday, so a stir fry using loads of ginger, garlic and chilli will be the order of the day.

Ibbie - glad the trouble is better. Chook was dead, or at the least the Co-op sold it to me on that basis.

That reminds me of a little incident that made today so irritating. I had a £1.50 coupon to use at the Co-Op which expires today. I forgot to use the bloody thing. So I'm left with the task of heading back to buy un-necessary stuff for the freezer to get my money off, or just letting the coupon expire. Buggerit. #-o

On sober reflection, perhaps wandering out the back door at 3am in boxers and t-shirt to look at the moon may have been a little rash. The memory of rapidly retreating 'nads has sprung to mind. It is Scotland, after all.

Just got an invitation to another judge's retirement do. A really nice bloke, so I will go and check on the quality of his hospitality. It would be churlish not to. Now, where did I put the good suit???

Crystal clear morning this morning, not a cloud in the sky, beautiful orange sunrise.

Have a good day.

Ten inches of rain in less than a day? Sheesh!

Apparently the book of faces is down. Just you wait until the whole interweb collapses. Society will not be able to cope. There will be rioting and bloodshed. Time to lock and load Mr D.!!
