I shall retire to my book nook for the duration and they can all be grumbly without me.

And for the record, yes I do have cold feet, but I never subject hubs to cold plates. Mainly because there is usually an animal of some description blocking the way

5" rain in how many hours?

Sprint

She should go to Darwin / NT for the wet.

When it decides to rain / dump, it does.

Morning has arrived and it looks like a grand one at that.
Last day in the land of the haggis but all is not lost. I managed to capture one yesterday to take home.

Looks like the whole of the U.K. will be bathed in sunshine today. Limeygal must be hogging all the rain.

Humid weather hot or not is the only thing I can't stand ok I can cope with cold and humid but hot and humid makes me want to book a flight out. I spent 20 minutes in Corfu last August complaining to a friend about how bad the humid weather was there. I am lucky to live in a city where high humidity is very rare.

Morning good peoples all. Sun is shining and is guessed to continue doing so for another day or so, and wonder of wonders the heating has finally been turned on at wgw2 towers, it's amazing the difference just 2°C makes.

Lunching today at the place I last worked with the only two of my ex-colleagues who are still there, so completing the quarterly round of contacts.

Morning all, yet another beautiful sunny day.
Chancing my arm, but before we went away to France I cut all my toms in the greenhouse down. They have since sprouted again and one in particular has grown to a couple of feet, might get another crop before the cold weather sets in.

Greetings,
19 for 23 ! grey overcast. Big thunderstorm last night, no electricity for a couple of hours.
Guess is 100% for more of the same today with a warning for storms all day.
Sitting in the light of LED lanterns gave us the chance to do the inventory of the apartment which I will get off later today..

I see that according to the BBC The daughter of some actor called Paul Walker is to sue carmaker Porsche over the crash in which he died.
( Here I have to confess that his name means zero to me ) US reports say.Walker was a passenger in a Porsche a friend was driving when
it hit a pole and burst into flames in November 2013.
After a four-month investigation, police said the Porsche Carrera GT, driven by Walker's friend Roger Rodas, was travelling at 94mph
(151kph) in a 45mph zone when it hit a lamp post.
The lawsuit contends that the car was travelling much slower when it went out of control, according to TMZ.
I am not 100% convinced that the Police are always totally correct re accident speeds I have to say that even if that car was only doing 84MPH
not the 94 MPH quoted it was still well above the speed limit I fail to see how it can be anything but stupidity by the driver. I can't think that
any safety measures fitted in a road car would have saved them. I just can't understand why this case is being pursued.

It is a bit puzzling. Perhaps his career in high speed car chase films involving general automotive macho tom-foolery being suddenly ended in a high speed car crash has something to do with it. And the chance of $$$, of course.
History does Not repeat itself through time. It does however, sometimes rhyme.

The day started in a nasty way since my espresso was spilled to a great area including my bermuda shorts and the chair pillow I used and had to rush them for cleaning. It is getting slightly better. And more rain is guessed for this afternoon.

A belated one to ye.
Sat at Sunday local, as weekday local's new owners starting Monday.
Fitted new bog seat to downstair facility. Why are they so bloody awkward?
Mrs Ib none too well again and I had a bad night resulting from drinking the closing local's stock to extingtion yesterday.

Morning folks. Car in for repair this morning but no spare parts so that has to be delayed.

Independance Day tomorrow. Housekeeper has asked for the day off. Told her they asked to become a British Protectorate and we gave them independence when they asked. To celebrate she should work for us tomorrow for nothing. No day off. For goodness sake how many of us have worked Christmas day over New Year etc.
