That’s some serious *sh*t* OFSO is smoking
Hope he brought enough for everyone!

Seriously raining here. Could get up to 10" of rain due to the remnants of hurricane Nicholas. Staying home today. Went out to get food yesterday, got drenched. Road to house flooded. We live on a hill and all the rain runs down to the main road at the bottom. Lots of reading in my future :-bd

What's worse - brown rain, yellow snow or a golden shower?
Can you drink brown rain?

The amount of brown rain Spain gets makes me wonder if the level of the Sahara is falling....

The Sahara is pushing its way South, thus increasing the area and thus the volume of sand available to mess up the cars which cause the pollution which causes desertification.

Gaia is a vicious bitch.

I watch the videos of Matt Winder of Offroad recovery in Utah.
Where he recovers, the sand-dunes are considerable in height and depth and there seems no limit to the volume of sand.

Global warming? I thought global warming meant dry lawns, hose pipe bans and empty reservoirs.

Funny you should mention that; I've just had an email from United Utilities asking us to be sparing with the use of water as the reservoirs that supply us are lower than usual for the time of year (40% full rather than 70%)

Some things never change.

... and at 20:59 local the ISS crossed in front of the moon and Jupiter at an estimated -3.5, possibly more. Quite a sight.

Morning comrades and others. Despite forecasts of flashy boomy events and rain in the night, nothing. Gym day today.

Hello to you all.
A fine start again but very autumnal now.
CAVOK with a 7kt breeze. 11°C looking at 22°C.

I shall wait for the dew to dry off the lawns then give them a haircut.
Being in isolation now not much else planned apart from gardening.

Shame about the lack of rain OFSO

A gentle reminder that TODAY IS FRIDAY

Morning folks. Third attempt at court case yesterday cancelled at the start. The prosecuting inspector is a complete bozo. At the pre-trial meeting on Wednesday he asked us to describe what happened on the day of 18th March last year. The detective constable pointed out to him that the armed robbery was the 14th. I said that this was a good start, he then had it in for me. He asked me to describe the knife that was found after the incident. I said it is clearly stated that my wife found it not me, and so it went on. He then said that he was going for a plea bargain with the last bastard they caught. Mrs Ex-Ascot said excuse me but he was the one that really beat me up and threatened to rape and murder me. So then he decided to go for the youngest one. Subpoena was for 08.00. We were there 07.50. no one there until 08.20. Told that court starts at 08.30. Asked our copper why the subpoena was for 08.00. He said to make sure everyone was on time. ~X(

08.25 two prison and two police vehicles and loads of rozzers rock up. 4 NRs in ankle bracelets handcuffs and chains fall out and are escorted into court past us. The looks they gave us could kill. It was all very dramatic. The judge didn't arrive until 09.00. He then delayed the case we think because of the prosecutor changing his mind about who to bargain with.

Wodders, hope that you have more luck with your legal system.
