I think Ricardian's calender is broken. :-?
Oh well. He's going to have to get a new one in a week or so. :))

Good morning all.
Insomnia rules again.
Thanks for all the good wishes folks and I can only hope that Woody's SM gets sorted
out properly. It's taken a ridiculous amount of time so far.

4°C at present and light rain. Doesn't look like it'll improve much apart from getting light.
Think I may have another go at getting some sleep. =))

Morning folks. I think that Slasher looks in I don't know about Angels. They are both a loss. We fly deep into the bush tomorrow so need to do Christmas e-mails today. Cold and windy. Don't expect good weather for our little holiday but never been rained on in the bar. People go on game drives in the pouring rain, crazy. The animals are not so stupid they are all under cover so you don't see anything.

Insomnia Fairies frequent these parts from about 02:30 until it is light at 04:30 and the magpies start coralling......then its maybe a 20% chance of falling back to sleep.....

Fell asleep at 22.00 aprox last night. Awoke at 23.30, then watched tv for two hours, until tired again. Then wide awake at 06.15.

It's the dear old Moon, at least that's what woke me yesterday at 2am and this morning at 4am.

The birdies start singing at 4:50am, I find.

Been a long day (-|

I try to sleep again just before 8:00 am. It didn't work. I went to the pool instead.

Good Morning,
12c guess 18c, flat calm, overcast.
Last nights rain, supposed to be in time for the last follow, tracked down the lake instead.
However Henry found a fox and went off in hot pursuit. Took a while to get him in.

Provisions I think, inconvenient being on a Saturday have to plan ahead, not good at that.

Only got a plan for Saturday, Suckling pig for just the two of us.

Wodrick, hope you have better luck. In town car parks rammed and shops likewise. No enthusiasm for going in to look at empty shelves.

Here it is Christmas day Saturday, day in lieu on Monday and probably Boxing day Tuesday, then it all starts again on Friday.

Wireless broadband is annoyingly kicking on and off. Rain and gloom yet again, 5C, but sun expected for Christmas day. Had a Christmas card from that Sturgeon woman plus a seven(!) page Covid update letter to "people on the highest risk list" from Scotland's Chief Medical Officer.

I blame the folk who told us when we moved up here in 2004
Throw away your watch and buy a calendar
They never mentioned anything about buying a new calendar every so often

Hello playmates :-h Taters here this morning, just at freezing. The weather insanity continues today-temps will rise into the 70s. High near 80 on 25th! My plants are very confused.

Ricardian-I am guessing that the photographer Bill Hodgson is a local? Amazing pictures of your 'hood :-bd

Key lime biscuits were great. I'm on a roll with my baking. No pun intended. Might give sourdough another bash. It all seems a bit of a faff. Found a recipe for a dry starter. You don't need to be so precious with it. Anyone here have any experience with einkorn flour? This recipe uses it, but regular flour can be used.

I see Jon Snow is leaving Channel 4 news after many years to spend more time with his gin bottle.

Lot of European visitors at present and street parking difficult but no problem in the supermarket car parks and the two I went in very quiet, unlike Tuesday which was madness.
The English Supermarket was very busy, just stuck my head in for the mail.

I have my pittance provider's are you still alive ? letter.

I am surprised that nobody has seen fit to point out that Santa and his various manifestations appear to be exclusively white.

That is apart from Zwarte Piet - but that is considered by some to be offensive - 'cultural appropriation'.
