They are beginning to look really "hawk-ish" now - they have a fierce look about them.

Doing well.

When I logged-on just now, there were no chicks visible so I wondered if they had fledged, but they were just out of frame.

What keeps them on the platform? Fear?

The thing is - do they peck off the downy bits? does it just fall out and blow away in the wind? There's not much evidence of it littering the tray. Do they eat it?
Yesterday I did see a couple of them getting a bit adventurous and teetering a tad close to the front as I muttered "come back you stupid chick".
Reminded me of my 15 year old son standing on one of the levels of the leaning tower of Pisa with his toes out over the edge of the down side ( there were no guard rails in 1984). Not understanding our parental alarm - stupid boy! Until he became a parent himself of course.

I am pleased the runt is making it, I was worried about him/her earlier. Still seems to be at the end of the queue for food though. Mrs 1DC's father was a steeplejack at one time in his life and I think his daughter has the genes. She can stand on the edge of a cliff without problem whereas I cannot do anything like that unless I have something good to hold on to, and then I don't like it.

I do not do cliffs. Even not happy with high hotel balconies. Always think that they may snap off.

Interesting that the biggest one still has most down/fluff on its back. It still seems to be getting the biggest share of the food. I wonder if that is a female and the others are weedy youths but are getting rid of the fluff faster? I await them in full fig.

The Facebook page for the Worcester Peregrines is worth looking at. Here is an unusual shot of a pidgeon perched close to the peregrines nest as one of the adults returns:

I wonder if they have run out of pigeons as the prey seem to be smaller birds now. It's difficult to tell exactly what kind of birds they are as they are being torn apart. It all seems to be consumed feathers and all and the biggest one seems to get most of it.

Rossian, I believe raptors need feathers in their diet, maybe to help with digestion. We rescued a young kite in PNG, and the local Ag guy used to give us chicken feathers to mix with its meat. He eventually arranged for it to fly to the Baiyer River sanctuary on the company plane.

Currently only two seen = one almost ready to fledge and feeding itself and the other 'younger' in appearance.

Three now - one still 'fluffy'.

I think the larger, fluffier one is a female

Nice to see their yellow collars - I wonder when they get the yellow eyes

They'll be fledged in a week - will they use this platform as home?

THUNDERSTORMS are set to sweep into Worcestershire tomorrow, bringing torrential downpours.

The Met Office has declared a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms tomorrow between noon and 8pm.
