Re: Capetonian.
Brilliant GG never heard that one. A shame Mike didn't have time to say the same. Perhaps it should go on his grave stone. We go on about NRs as well but we have many local friends. The first time he arrived here from Vic Falls he said he couldn't believe how friendly the folk were there and how safe he felt. Then he discovered that it is the same here. It is not S.A. big difference. OK, we had a bit of bad luck but that was exceptional.

Hitler was a socialist. Nothing to do with right wing.

Re: Capetonian.
Hitler was a National Socialist and clearly shared most, if not all, the features of the right wing dogma and persecuted true socialists ... I would have used you as a right wing yard stick but I would have needed an exponential scale...

Just an opinion, there is a place for politics and it is not here.

Bitterly upset at not being included on the Right Wing Chart. Just how loudly do I have to hum the "Horst Wessel Lied" ?

We'll be lighting candles for Mike in the Basilica on Sunday. Possibly a prayer in the synagogue if it's open as we walk past.

Re: Capetonian.
We enjoyed Capetown and felt reasonably safe but we did see some absolutely racist behaviour by an old white woman who had never accepted the loss of privilege against a coloured check out assistant. Later, in Namibia things were quite different although we did notice lots of second homes belonging to Canadians had electric fences on top of tall walls.Ex-Ascot wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 9:02 amBrilliant GG never heard that one. Re: Capetonian.
Here the NRs are racist towards the whites particularly officials. Many cases of NRs smashing into white's cars and it is the whites fault. Been there. 18 months ago I was assaulted by the leader of the gang who robbed us 4 months ago. I even had a photo of him coming at me. They wouldn't prosecute.
