Good morning all, 10/15 today. Fingers crossed here too.
Had a little bit of fog earlier, now cleared and skies blue with a little cloud. Currently20C, forecast max 33C. I'd better mow the lawn before it gets too hot.

*Ibbie*

Well that worked received from Mrs IB which follows;

Hi Wod
This Mrs IB typing, I presume you are sending your message to *Ibbie*. He is in hospital again, he was rushed in a week last Tuesday for a blockage somewhere in the intestines.
Then was in ICU for a week, but has just gone on the ward.
He is very weak and confused, due to the infection ,so he hasn’t got his phone atm, but we are hoping he will be well enough soon to use it.
This has put back his new prosthetic knee, by how long we don’t know.
I will take my iPad to the hospital to show him.
Hopefully he will be able to contact you direct soon.

Good news as they know what the problem is and they are doing something about it.
Not good from the standpoint of a new knee though.
Hopefully it all gets sorted out in due time.

Overheard, from an earnest reporter interviewing veterans: "What's that saying? An army performs on its stomach? said by Alexander the Great or somebody a long time ago?"

Whatever...

I see the cabbage-trees (Cordyline australis, Torbay palm, etc) are in flower now.

Morning folks. Gosh what bad luck Ibbie. All the best for a fast recovery. You are missed here.

A thieving black bastard has made off with our genny battery. Fingers crossed we do not get a power cut. It is a bit cloudy at the moment.

Poor Ibbie. Never rains but it pours.
Speaking of which, windy and damp here. Only one cat for breakfast feed.

That was weird. I didn't bother logging in and I got a crew room page from 2015. I was confused. Many blasts from the past there-shaggy sheep driver, 500N. Did I travel back in time? :-o

Poor Ibbie. Some major Trabbforce is needed from all of us. We miss you Ibbie :YMHUG:

Major TRABBFORCE to Ibbie, makes the fact that I had ice on my car this morning at 0500 seem rather trivial .

:) Ya, I knew that, I also knew it was 'marches' rather than 'performs' which had conjured up a strange picture; no wonder the veterans had no idea what the reporter was talking about.

Wide awake: can smell smoke on the breeze, presume it's from an ex-bonfire somewhere, there were a few fireworks again last evening. Have been out and looked around, can't see anything untoward.

Sky very clear, all stars available for viewing.

A couple of years ago, when we had the 'Lap of Lights' at Silverstone, they had a big screen in one of the parking areas. During that time, it broke down twice, we had strong winds which meant having to shut it down, and when it rained, it had to be closed down too. Britain is not the best country for outdoor cinema, especially in the latter months of the year. I shall watch what happens with interest...
