I thought a Strategic Oil Reserve is an EU obligation - 90 days worth of supply.

Been off the air for nearly 48 hours (don't ask) so only just read in.
UP and Ian: So sad for you both.
Thoughts and prayers.

Yesterday (Thursday) I had an intensive bit of tidying up on this computer during which I managed to delete the link to this site. Try as I might I could not remember the slightest detail of the URL. I even went to the TOP and sent a message to jimtherev (sorry vicar!). Eventually I managed to concoct a search which pulled out the correct URL which is now safely saved away

Ric, we can be found at ops-normal .org, .com and .net . Whilst it costs us to maintain the three domain names. I think it's worthwhile. The last thing I would want is for someone to start up a site using the .com and .net names.

I've not been in the water for several weeks now.....today I did, and knew exactly where to find two brilliant bright blue Damsel fish!...It was very good, happy moment to see them there!

Morning folks. A very noisy night with hippos and bullfrogs. Just been informed that our flight from Zurich to Johannesburg has been delayed 4 hours today. Good job we are not on it as we would miss the flight JNB to here if it was running, which it is not. We do have limited internal flights now though.

No mammoth watering today because of the fuel shortage. He is raking leaves instead. Speaking to other people it seems that these people are avid rakers.

CID are supposed to come and see us today to discuss progress with our case but doubt that they will.

Presently passing 24c. The high of 28c seems far too low. Must be the holiday staff in at the guessers office.

Condolences Ian.

Morning everybody,
Same, same, same dead calm too so no relief from the breeze.

Sam and Mark here at 07.30 precisely to continue fencing, with my ground conditions they are working hard.

Subjectively the number of hire cars is increasing as is the number of pale tourists. Not many English yet.

Gestoria wants one more piece of information before she attempts a tax rebate, I don't see the relevance but have asked the question.

Planning the weekend feeding then provisions.

Wodrick,
Whilst speaking with your gestoria, ask about obtaining TIE cards(foreigner ID card), for senior management and yourself.
Been available for application since 6th July and must be applied for by year end.

Know what you mean Ian, little things, toys, mats, feeding dishes, scratched carpets, walls, empty spot. Eventually a new bundle of joy will move in. They won't know the past but they will soon be your present. Not next week or next month but maybe a year.

We still look back at all the joy or laugh at all the mischief.

Now TOP.NET is free 👹

Though they do have TOP.org.UK which would never have occurred to me.

*Ibbie*
This from UKGOV yesterday
If you registered as a resident before 6 July 2020, you will have a green A4 certificate or credit card-sized piece of paper from Extranjeria or the police. This is still a valid document and will prove your rights under the Withdrawal Agreement, including after the transition period ends. You can exchange your paper residence document for the new TIE but you do not need to.

The green paper residence certificate and the new biometric TIE card are equally valid in proving your residence status and rights in Spain.
As it's a photo id then it's probably the best idea but from the above no rush.

Nothing changes on the Humber. Dull and damp.Coming down in stair rods ten minutes ago but a glimpse of brightness in the west. The forecast says the brightness is only temporary and we will be wet again after lunch.
Watched a robin remind everyone who is boss in his patch this morning, feisty little guy and will have a go at birds much bigger than he is.
Mrs 1DC is moving money around her envelopes! The grandkids have one each, Oz daughter has one, with other bits and pieces she has about five. She is trying to get rid of old twenties and replace them with new. Watching her the smartest accountant in the world wouldn't understand the logic in what she is doing, nice lockdown diversion though..

UP and Ian, condolences. Ian, I do have a soft spot for Siameses. Beautiful, feisty and fun cats. I grew up with one called Pichit. He was a character. He'd ambush the local dogs and give them a hiding, eat the workers lunch, sit on the table at a BBQ and meow loudly all the while keeping his eye on the steak he's going to swipe. Snoozed on the Basset, put up with 2 young rowdy kids, but would purr like a diesel when he curled up to sleep with you.

Thanks for that post Wodrick. I might have found the information myself but fighting my way through the YouGov thickets of outdated information to get to new & valid stuff is such a chore. Whilst in the UK we had the Green Forms dug out of the Spanish safe and posted to us in London. By Certified Mail they took four weeks and were just put through the letterbox in our former home: no signature required. By the time we returned they were no longer necessary to cross the frontier from France into Spain. They WERE required to 'avoid' two weeks quarantine in France but the authorities had given up even trying to enforce that.
One thing I have learned is that if you own property in Spain and want the right to get back to it, carry your Green Forms everywhere with you !

Last time I was at Traffico AGP trying to change our driving licences I was sent home for having a photocopy of our "Residencia" not the original which I don't like using. Then the virus struck.

Thinks, probably do the change sooner rather than later as the address on our "Residencia" is 10 years out of date !
