Morning folks. Hope Mrs Hydro makes a swift recovery. Sunny, hot, mammoth watering.

According to the DM Vic falls is 1,560'. New one on me. I wonder if that is AMSL.

Edit no it is 3,000' AMSL

Anyone else experienced difficulties accessing our beloved Ops Normal yesterday evening MEZ time ? I read the southern hemisphere was hit by solar blasts last night. Mass ejections following.

Thanks for yur thoughts, everyone. Mrs Hydro is now issuing orders from her hospital bed - she must be feeling better.

Sympathies to Mrs Hydro - the pain can be excrutiating. My knee was drained on two occasions before I had the op, with two steroid injections at the same time which worked for a few months each time. Hope she feels better soon.

I think some TRABB-force is warranted here for all our sickies. Hydro-you and yours are keeping the hospital busy-stop it! :YMHUG:
There's one pump wagon locally that has a neatly sign-written warning notice on the side saying "Caution: May contain political promises!"
One of our local "poo people" has "We are #1 in the #2 business" emblazoned on his truck. Catchy.

Torrential rain, wind and single digit temperatures. Very unpleasant.

We had a local guy out to clear the pipe between the house and the septic tank as unmentionables were bubbling up though a rodding point. His van had "My business is going down the drain" on the sides.

Sounds like the local nightclub after the bouncers resolve a "situation".

Hardly even worth putting in the Jokes section, just had this old thing pop into my mind:

"Can February March?"

"No, but April May."

At the Bolivar treatment works in Adelaide, they had a sign at the front gate - "It might be crap to you, but it's our bread and butter."

Hope things continue to turn around for the Hydros. Grand Daughter and boyfriend have decided that they want to spend next January in Australia,I suggested that February may be better when the kids have gone back to school but they seem to have their minds set on January.. Mrs 1DC went with some members of one of her womens' club's to an upmarket chocolatier this morning, supplier to Royalty and Fortnums etc. she made some truffles and chocolate pieces and bought me a bar of chocolate. I had a truffle tonight it was very nice, not sure when we will get the rest I expect their will be eruptions when she tests her blood sugar!!
Twas a rainy morning and then a partially sunny day on the Humber, 11C. Three large sperm whales were beached about three miles into the river, two on the north bank and one on the south bank. Very unusual for them to be in our area and even more so to be in the river which is about six miles wide where they came ashore. A great shame they looked beautiful specimens.

As usual, Jim's late on parade, but nonetheless, love and prayers to the Hydros.

Trip to the vet today. All three dogs and two cats, so I added the extra dog crate to the van and we took that. Kepler had a blood draw for her cancer vaccine trial, the other dogs needed rabies and other jabs, as did one of the cats. The other was just in for a check-up.

There was a Tesla Cybertruck parked outside the vet when we arrived, I parked next to it. It's an ugly brute.

Also the first outing for the new van dash-cam. Seems to be working OK, hopefully I'll never need to use the recordings for anything but fun.

Dry morning. Up to town for first of 20 prostate-zapping sessions. Eye surgeon is almost next door so I'll pop in there and make an appointment for a check.

Morning folks. Sunny, hot. Tomorrow's high may break March record of 39C. We have large larvae dropping down off the roof. Was worried they were nesting in the thatch with the squirrels. Seems that they are coming from the tree above and are a delicacy. One will not be rushing to collect them. It is a horned beetle.

One dead squirrel out the back two days ago and a hell of a stench in the house so hopefully more dead ones. They are now running around in the house under the eaves.

Sadly they weren't ready for me today and didn't tell me. Red faces and apologies. I suspect doctor kicked some backsides as they've made extra appointments for tomorrow and Friday.

After emails and texts from doctor's office asking me to confirm my upcoming appointment, which I did, they called me the afternoon before it to tell me that they were canceling it because the doctor did not take my insurance. ^!
A check of the insurance co.'s website and a call to them both confirmed that he was on their list. ~X(
Insurance rep called the doctor's office and was told that the office manager would contact me.
Radio silence. :-$
As the office is relatively close by I will pop in and talk to said manager. Always better to do face to face than by phone.
