When all else fails, read the instructions.

"On my count...roll inverted."
Re: Caption Competition......
OK, Sunday night, time for the results. (and I hate grading! )
The different angles to interpreting the situation were wonderful, and I laughed. A lot. Especially imagining the tough guys (supposedly?) in the Mrs. Ex-Ascot's suggestion, and the inverted roll being executed . Some good ideas for cuts and defence as well.
The 'Squadron SCRAMBLE!' was almost the best. The very best one was just more optimistic and uplifting- implying they still haven't lost hope to do that (reach V1) given they keep on trying hard.
So, PHXPhlyer

"The last thing he said was;
"Ignore it, Charlie. The sign says we have to look out for black ones."
..well, apart from the screaming, obviously."

“Does this sign make my ass look fat?”
Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance.

I'll just hide here until they decide if they want to sentence me for belching and heating the world up, or award for farting and stuff for biogas from the other end.

They didn't need to tie me here to prove the point.

Little did they know that the bull was dangerous because it kept knocking over the 'Bridge Out' sign.

Re: Caption Competition......
off-topic slightly:
Which reminds me about Jeremy Clarkson moaning about signs to indicate 'moose loose' when there are none in sight, and his suggestion: Why don't they put the sign on the moose?
Actually, then being specific about cows and bulls would be needed?
