G-CPTN - Yes there was a big box of them near the gangway for people going ashore to help themselves. Grabbing a handful was just a bit of bravado by some funny guys. Don't know what the procedure would be nowadays with women at sea, I suspect they'd grab one or two as well!

Roger that. But don'tcha just wish that they would actually admit that?

Hahaha! I can put up with the restrictions. I just need to discipline myself more when it comes to snacking. We're up to date with the gardening/washing/ironing/cleaning. Today I've resorted to dismantling the oven doors to clean inside the double glass doors. I might go and learn Bonamassa's "Blues of Desperation" at this rate!

Went for a walk today, half an hour, first in 4 week. Left early saw two people quarter mile away.

Affecting me?

Well the 4 weeks rest had a positive benefit in terms of complete rest. I was able to climb the steep steps left/right whereas I previously had to lead with the left. At the top to did have a twinge on right knee.

But the other effect is the muscles on the fronts of my thighs were stiff.

I did my nightly walk in the morning today, carrying a shopping bag just in case. My goodness, it's just like the old days in the DDR when you (a) never left home without a shopping bag, and (b) got onto the end of every queue you saw Just In Case someone had something in stock you wanted. All we need is a breeze block wall building across London and a few watchtowers to make me feel back in my early years. (The Stapo are here already).

Sitting here online using Microsoft Teams to talk to my colleagues in 3 separate locations, here in the UK, and two client representatives, one in the UK and the other in the USA. The system works perfectly with video and I can even goof off while looking at the Excel spreadsheet and a Word document we are looking at the same time. Kent, Essex and Charlotte North Carolina, working in harmony and from home.

Maybe we can continue working like this in perpetuity.

TGG, you can also check your emails or whatever. All you have to do is listen and look intelligent (if possible).

You could also add a bright light behind you and wear sunglasses if you want a snooze.

Difficult at the best of times. Cursing because I didn't shave today so I look like the wild man of Borneo.

That reminds me. I shaved for my lunch time meeting yesterday, better get a shave now before our council meeting.

Shaved.

Also you only need a clean shirt. You can we wear sloppy Joes or PJs.

Interestingly our American client is using a software generated corporate workplace background whereas I know he is working from home as he told me so earlier.

According to Microsoft, the company will add a real-time noise reduction feature to Teams later this year. The feature will use AI to minimise background noise like dogs barking or the sound of the ceiling fan.
Will shut my dog up.

With Zoom you can relocate to a Caribbean beach. Sadly my laptop is pushing the limit and I appear behind the beach scene

One of our clients is based in Barbados so the beach scene would certainly work with them...

As a result of Covid-19 we have also upped the use of MS Azure Virtual Machines as well and our clients are delighted with the service we are able to give them... just started an instance up for another US based client.

Covid's doing my head in. Well, mainly arguing with our psycho boss.
Other than that, turned upstairs TV room into a home gym. Started using it last week and hopefully, the damage done by eating and drinking will be some how partly countered by some weights, yoga and indoor biking.

:) - I've discovered dancing to some good-old-music to take a break will do superwell. Alone, of course :) - not to ruin the whole day.
