Postcard From Greece in the weekend's FT is worth reading with even Amorgos getting a mention of being serviced by the Small Cyclades Lines.
Otherwise known as the Express Scopolitis and by a lot of locals the Express Vomit. :D

We went to Lefkas once upon a time and one of the trips was a round the island on a fine looking boat. Out of the port it was fine but as we turned to the West it started to roll then as we turned North it started pitching and rolling barreling through what was a light swell. Vomit everywhere.

When I travelled regularly between England and Denmark, I found that pitching and rolling barreling through what was a light swell was worse than a rough sea.
I have had trips where the sea was breaking over the accommodation and washing the windows of the restaurant - which didn't affect me, however a gentle corkscrew motion would invoke vomit.
On my first journey to Denmark I would have quite willingly stepped off onto an island midway and the movement continued in my brain for 12 hours after we reached 'terra firma'.

The "Ionian Star" Ancona to Patras run. Probably rolled right over and sunk by now. A mercy killing.

On the North Sea Denmark run was the Vomiting Venus.
It was smaller (and older) than the usual 'Prince' ships and lacked the stabilisers IIRC.

Congratulations to you and your dogs.
Are the puppies from the recent litter that we watched grow?
The two in the 4-6mo competition were from the litter earlier this year. One puppy was from the 2020 litter. I was trying to encourage the 2021 puppy people to turn up as well but they had something else on this past weekend and so couldn't make it. So we had representatives from the A, B, C and E litters.

In the 1960s the St Ninian had that corkscrew motion on the Leith-Aberdeen-Kirkwall-Lerwick run. The puking saint, they called it.

'twas a "Star" one is thinking it may have been the Nidri Star. Have to look up the pictures.
There are a few as it was my first trip with a Digital SLR.

Very pleasant day on the Humber, Mrs 1Dc and I realised we didn't have any cash so went and found a bank. We also found a cafe which was new to us, run by four young girls doubt if any were over 21. I had a decent cup of coffee and damn fine BLT. Peace tonight Mrs 1DC is out at one of her women's clubs dining night's out.

#9206. Ionian Star still afloat after fifty years but now sailing under a Panamanian Flag. One to avoid except with sea like a billiard table, as she would roll on wet grass.

Well she is in the expected pain and bruised. For the last three years she has been a disaster area.

(Early) good morning, all. Running heavy electrickery consuming stuff - pool, washing machine - while still on cheap tarif. Then off to (a) deliver birthday cake to our housekeeper and (b) get wife's knees injected with hauralonic acid, and (c) fill car tank with Avanza Fusion 95 octane.

Morning folks. Below is our beloved 'Skop'. note the the sea state is actually not that high. Got to go into town to the garage to pick up the small car having had steering links replaced, again, and clutch fluid also replaced as someone put steering fluid in there instead of clutch fluid. It didn't like it. Also to the quack to have a mole removed which I am not very happy about. However a trip on the Skop or mole removal. Mole removal every time. After many trips on the Skop we refuse to get onto it now.

Ex-Ascot - quite an extraordinary motion on that ship!
Best wishes for the mole-removal, hope it goes simply.
