Too much chatting pre grub !

Mrs Ex-Ascot outside our last Raki place in the main village before walking up the mountains to the house and writing by oil lamps at home, Stroumbos, Amorgos. And, folk think that we live like peasants here! That is not me by the way. His name is 'Ouzo' Michalis.

The OFSOs at lunch today, after enjoying Chef Aaron's amazing culinary arts, all-German birthday celebration. Tomorrow same restaurant, English Sunday Lunch, with foreign guests, roast beef and yorkshire pud.

You both look very elegant and classy, as always.

We had lunch at Portelet Bay.

Yes Mme OFSO remembers it well. Says that's where she had her beach concession. Hmmm....

Don't normally do much of this photo stuff but since the event was my son's wedding and there were professional photographers hovering around taking shots of every darn thing that moved Memsahib and myself were included.

Nice place, the kids rented all of a small hotel for the event and our accommodation was in one of the teepee type structures in the background, quite a pleasant concept. As you will note the location is on the tropical side of things so dining was al-fresco after the ceremony. As the mother and father of the groom we were slightly more formal than the rest of the guests (who were mostly half our age). Our son now flies for United and several of his pilot friends who attended the wedding used to fly with him in A'stan. His new wife is a mid-level executive in some weird company called Amazon.





Memsahib and self are coming up to our 50th anniversary in September, I always complain that the wedding made me miss the BoB displays.

Rather archaic I admit. I got the kit made by one of the old military tailors in Hong Kong (magnificent individual, Sikh, tall, straight backed, polite, honest - sort of fellow you would like along side you in a cavalry charge).

Nice thing is that that was 25 years ago and I can still wear the clothes without alterations.
