Re: Absent Friends
About 15 years ago, my doesn't time fly, I had agonising back pain. I can't remember what caused it but it was agony in any position and I was bed ridden. I missed a tutorial and my tutor, who was off to New York the following week told me to ring him before he went.
I still felt such pain that I didn't bother. On the day of the flight he rang and I had a good 30 minutes tutorial. I recovered sufficiently the following week and was able to submit my essay.

The 2nd anniversary of Capetonian's death today. I bet he's still travelling, wherever he is.

Thanks OFSO. Will definitely drink to him.

Raising a glass of a Barossa Shiraz to him this instant.
You only live twice. Once when you're born. Once when you've looked death in the face.

A glass raised here too!
Re: Absent Friends
And here.
Re: Absent Friends
I don't know how I missed this thread before but I too will raise a glass to Mike. Mike took the time to PM me after I wrote about my problems and told me
about his health challenges, seems we both had the same outlook on life, that being, no use worrying about it, just get on with enjoying life while we can.
Just a brief encounter with the man but he gave the impression of being one of nature's gentlemen.

Re: Absent Friends
On a thread somewhere here someone asked about 4ma and PN. These two appear to visit the site more or less together. I have done a little digging and both 'ceased' visiting in the second half of August (not the first time they have been 'missing').
I have had no response at all from PN on the issue of subs, but 4ma did ask for BACS details which I sent, advising me that he would be 'away' until October, so no panic for his welfare. Of PN I know not.

My MS OneDrive application pops up some historical images that were posted on this day's anniversary every morning and this one came up this morning. Was apt to think of ian16th. Two years have flown by quickly.

Did we lose Magnus, somewhere on the ops-normal road?

Been wondering that too long time since he posted. Difficult to note that it's two years for Ian.TheGreenAnger wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:43 amDid we lose Magnus, somewhere on the ops-normal road?

Yes, they are both missed. I never met ian16th but he corresponded with me from time to time and seemed to be a thoroughly nice chap, as is Magnus, I am sure.Wodrick wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:53 amBeen wondering that too long time since he posted. I know he had had health problems. I hope he is still sitting happily on his perch up in Scotland.

I doubt that Con Pilot would have up with this put!
New film on the circuit! Doubt I will watch it, or if I do, for comedic proposes!

Stoneboat! Where is he? How is he? How can I show I care? If he needs it, how can I help?
