Those of us living alone or enjoying a period of isolation might consider leaving an address where they could be reached if going off-line. Or in the case of Cape, an aircraft registration or flight number.

Or whose other half is not in the various fora.

I have thought of depositing passwords etc with my will. Could even write a short obit revealing who one is (or was) as well

Apparently a common modern request to Undertakers is for access to the body, and the use of a digit or two, to get past the finger print requirement of the recently deceased's smartphone!

Glad ricardian is okay - his posts are a real tonic on a dull day.

Not that I am morbid or intending to depart any time soon but taking a leaf out of a departed friend's book I have written my obit (for a RN association) and am halfway through collating significant photos of self from age dot until now onto a USB Powerpoint file. Our new local crematorium has large monitor screens and my mate's photographic history played silently on a loop during the service. They are a couple of things those left behind won't have to think about.

Needless to say I am glad he is ok. And the jokes thread wouldn't be the same without him.

So how many of us are on our own technology wise when it comes to only fora? I might be able to find some of Mrs PNs fora such as FB but is she in Mumsnet, Gransnet, Slimmingnet or whatever?

OK, Stroumbos, Amorgos, Greece. Or, Serala, Chanoga, Ngamiland, Botswana. We challenge anyone to find us in either location. One requires an eight hour ship journey then a fair old hike up a mountain. The other a 40 km drive from the airport then dive into the bush with all the nasties for twenty minutes.

Well I live in Norfolk, so it's almost as bad as Ex-A's situation. Rural, no decent roads and very poor driving skills from many of the inhabitants!

G'day Slasher. Well, when an 'olive branch' is extended, it would be churlish of me to refuse wouldn't it!
Besides, I like it here. Far better than that place which shall not be named! [-X

Got your last e-mail re what you're up to. :-bd
