Just had an e-mail from LG. They are fine and expecting the hurricane to pass up the east coast as per last year so should not be too badly affected.

Thunderstorm that put the slowcooker offline returned with a vengeance and lightning put the phone/DSL line off!

Back 'online' here though - I have been lurking.
Cause was a 'new' laptop with forgotten passwords.
Still unable to access TOP despite new passwords.

Otherwise just the usual age-related deficiencies.

Could be the piece of string which serves as telecommunications in that part of the world has been washed away in the storms. Or, at least, hope that’s all it is.

I have sent an e-mail and left a Skype message asking for a sitrep.
If he doesn't answer by this evening I'll phone him.

The problem is, that as he now lives alone, if he is in hospital or some such.

I trust all is well with Ricardian, a valued contributor.
