Re: Birthdays
Greetings and blessings gentle lovely people.
Knacked again, having been shadowing the Fat Controller again today... it's an IndiePop music festival at the Midland Railway Butterley this weekend. Probably the second-largest moneyspinner we have after that named after a fat red-coated gentleman whose name I won't mention at this time of the year.
Packed trains, therefore, and not much for the managerial staff to look on and wonder - and pray that nothing fell apart whilst getting people to the site.
They've probably started home by now, and one is glad to be five miles away at a time when excited pop-fans are about to try to leave a grassy, but muddy car park.
(I did ring up a mate with a tractor and advised him that there may be a bob or two in it for him if he just, er, happened to be at Butterley about now.)
Anyway, a pleasant birthday meal has been enjoyed. Another year older.

Re: Birthdays
Thank you all for the 'birthday' greetings, but it's not my birthday!
Let's call it 'Happy Pension Day'!
It's simply that for a number of reasons I decided to defer drawing my pensions until today, although the Spanish cocked up and started paying their very small portion of it to me a couple of months ago, but the first payment from the other Euros ones has just popped into my Dublin bank account, and the UK one is paid in arrears so I get that next month I think.

For some bizarre reason one of mine is the middle of the month the other is the end. Think the military one is the middle. Donno why.

Re: Birthdays
Thankee kindly ma,am. I'm not 100% convinced about being 78 but I suppose it's better than the alternative which I'm seeing at pretty close quarters in an old mate who is pretty much on finals, probably before Christmas.
