True. Except for those open Chinese hawker stalls where the local cats wander around the place stressed out and paranoid.

TPBM hates having to retile floors.

:-? Never tried to do any tiling and have no intention of doing so. [-(

TPBM doesn't mind having hippos honking away outside the garden gate.......even if it is 2am. .... :)

True. I don't mind hippos making a 2am racket as we don't have any anywhere. Barking bloody dogs are a different matter. X(

TPBM believes there's no place like home! 🏡

True, and our youngest dog agrees, having run back to where her crate was located on Saturday when she broke loose. She's been known to bark at 2am but in response to unauthorised noises so she's doing her duty.

TPBM has at least one dog.

True,my dog only emits a low growl at strange noises before once again drifting off to sleep.

TPBM loves a cool refreshing beverage at the end of the day.

No thank heavens & I Do hope it remains that way (touch wood) as Mrs Fliegs & I head to Cairns & Cooktown this coming week!

I actually had my Septum removed, bone chiselled out of my cranium from behind my nasal cavity and septum surgically sewn back in place and then spent a week with what can only be described as a series of giant tampons lashed under my nose to stop bleeding during a week long recovery during which it was impossible to either sleep or breathe through my nose...but plenty of blood dribbbling down my throat.

TPBM has also gone to extreme surgical lenghts to aleviate the suffering that is otherwise known as 'Man Flu'

I have no idea what the heck 'man flu' is. Izzit something that ugly leftist feminists invented like 'mansplaining''?

TPBM can't keep up with all this trendy crap lingo coming out lately from the West.

Man flu, as any fule no, is far worse than any other flu. It can not be overcome by starving or feeding it, but attempts to drown it may be successful, and should at least be attempted.

TPBM believes in self-medication.

I believe in self medication for cold and flu, as they have some alcohol in their mix,but my method is to ensure that the alcohol is close to 100%.

Life is for food, flying, f**king and drinking. Period. Anything else is either a pain or simply icing on the cake.

I've never really understood the expression 'to act your age'. I'm 68 now. My wife is 20 years younger and the Sproglettes are 12 and going on 14.
I feel I now have a certain amount of maturity and better judgement. On reflection, when I was younger, I really wasn't a very nice person. Indeed, I lived in the 'food, flying, **** and drinking' scenario and once combined the second and third in joining the half mile high club but that should be reported in aviation experiences.
Quite happy to be good buddies with the Sproglettes and have the time to be their friend and sounding board.
I suppose I have learned to listen

TPBM listens more than he/she talks in a conversation.

I can never get a word in edgeways when SWMBO is in full flow.

TPBM likes tripe.

True. After three weeks, I feel like I'm finally throwing off the cold man flu I've had.

TPBM is enjoying the sun.

Sort of. It's sunny outside for a change but I haven't ventured out of the pub. The curtains are apart and there's a sunbeam making its way in.

TPBM likes being at home relaxing when it's pissing down outside.

True :) although sometimes here in tropical climes you can enjoy the rain sheltering outside under a veranda.

TPBM loves to watch spectacular thunder storms from a safe distance. :D

True, I love a good storm but sadly they're fairly rare where I am now. I was impressed by the stuff in Florida though.

TPBM has seen a real space shuttle ready for launch.

Well I've yet to see a fake one! ;)))

TPBM, assuming fitness wasn't an issue, would've signed up with NASA in a flash if it meant piloting a Space Shuttle or even just sitting in a jump seat.
