NYE, another day, same crap as the earth swings its inexorable way around the big bright fusion bauble at the centre of our insignificant little galaxy once again...

Slasher, the Figmenti Imaginati, the three headed hoods of the purple planet have cornered the market on the dilithium crystals. Rumour is that they are keen on moonshine mind you, so perhaps an intergalactic trade is on the cards or written in the stars...

TPBM has made love with the triple-breasted whore of Eroticon 6!

Nope. The particular triple breaster of Emoticon 6 I had was no whore - just a bit itchy. Her sister though had a thing for Vogons and had her brains systematically melted by the constant poetry.

TPBM agrees one's golden precious Gulf fluid cannot be exchanged for anything else, even if it means one'll never be able to teararse around the quadrant at 1,909c.

Hasn't everyone...and found it strangely underwhelming?

TPBM is listening to children unwrap their gifts...and wishing they'd do it quietly.

True. just a glass of wine before bedtime, then an early night. Didn't even hear the celebrations that I presume took place.

TPBM has already broken their New Year's resolution.

False. I don't make NY resolutions. But if I did it would be to give up Gulf moonshine, which I would break without batting an eyelid.

TPBM was fast asleep at midnight last night.

True. For LAST night! :)

TPBM is also wondering which thread would be appropriate for "A Happy New (Pig) Year!" to the opsnormalers?

Mmmmm....nope not really. Might fit in somewhere in the Brexit thread though.

TPBM has become used to writing 2019 iso 2018 now.

At least for January. The magic wears off and I spend February writing and correcting 2018.

TPBM often gets up at 5am.

False. 5am is considered midnight AFAIC. On occasion I might rise at that hour for a morning run being the coolest part of the day during Summer.

TPBM, if able, likes sleeping in till late in the morning.

False, when the sun's up it's time for me to be up. It's much easier to rise early when you don't have to.

TPBM likes being woken by birdsong.

True, although it rarely happens. Usually it's the alarm or one of the dogs. Occasionally a cat.

TPBM is a night owl.

I used to be a night owl but since moving to Bots I seem to have converted to being an early bird. :-?

TPBM knows exactly what time it is by listening to the bats and birds making conversation in the morning. :)

True, especially when they're approaching Sydney airport just before the curfew ends at 0600.

TPBM doesn't mind a bit of aircraft noise.

Depends on the aircraft. Jets no, 2-stroke thingies with parachutes no, autogryros no, Cnessnas and Pipers no, FW190s no, Super Cubs maybe, but the sound of a hot-blooded Merlin would be welcome anytime!

TPBM watches a bit of TV before lights out and going to sleep.

Not TV as we don't possess one. Usually enjoy watching downloaded films or dvds. Working our way through Yes Minister at the moment. :-bd Seems appropriate with all the Brexit stupidity going on. :)

TPBM enjoys watching re-runs of old stuff as opposed to watching modern stuff. ;;)

Oh by heck yes. I've got the complete sets of Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minster. Sir Humphrey (Nigel Hawthorne) is who makes it enjoyable I reckon. Also have the complete series's of old stuff includng Addams Family, Gilligans Island (wife's fave), Married with Children, Fawlty Towers of course, 12 o'clock High as well as umpteen heaps of original movies like 12 o'clock High (Greg Peck), Flight of the Phoenix, Dambusters, BoB, Time Machine etc etc. I refuse flatly to see any stupid inane crap remakes of the classics. The Dambusters and The Time Machine being good examples.

TPBM has decided to laze away the upcoming weekend and just be a complete useless burden on society.

That would be me. I was productive last weekend so this one is on me. Can't even take the dogs to the local dog park because it's closed due to excess rain.

TPBM is planning on doing their weekly shop on Saturday.

No, SWMBO does the weekend shop, and I shop midweek if necessary (I cook during the week.)

TPBM thinks supermarkets and shopping malls are hell on earth.

I don't mind supermarkets but hate shopping malls with a passion!

TPBM would rather end up in the Black Hole of Calcutta than have to visit a shopping mall! :)
