My real name is something different.

TPBM tends to speak using surnames e.g. 'stacker, Ascot, Bird, Plum, Squirrels, etc etc.

Not since I left the RAF. :)

TPBM remembers the first time that they crossed the equator.

For me it was on a mobile safari in Kenya 1987; a few years ago a guide friend here told me that my guide then was his friend. Small World isn't it ;;)

Can't remember. Too bloody long ago. I do recall going over the I.D.L. E to W and instantly passed into...what was. I thin' I crossed the Rio Grande once but I thin' I was drunk.

"Sir!"
"Section Officer Squirrels. I've noticed a lot of your girls are not showing enough breast. It's got to stop."
"Sir."
"And another thing - gas mask cases. They're for gas masks when the Sqn Ldr farts - not for carrying risotto to the natives."
"Yes sir."

TPBM has bummed around parasailing in the Maldives.

No and no. :)

Spent a week bumming around the Seychelles in 1987 which was rather nice. Took a taxi one day to bumble around the Capital of Victoria and was reassured by the driver that he could still drive OK despite his feet being numb. I reckoned that he had secondary syphilis despite the government claiming that there was no STD's in the Seychelles. 8-} They were as promiscuous as hell. I kept my legs firmly crossed!

TPBM also does not believe in holiday 'romances' ie bonks. [-X

Was once on a course with students from various countries, including a guy from the Seychelles. Talk got round to good jobs, including work on overseas aid projects. He suggested we should try to get work in the Seychelles - "If you're going to work on a third world project, why do it in a third world country." Never having been there, I can't comment.

Back to the topic in hand.

Not these days.

TPBM has married a 'holiday romance'.

Yes indeed, and just had the opportunity to have them, prepared by someone else, on my recent holiday.

TPBM has just remembered why he prefers to holiday alone.

Don't like holidaying alone. Had years of that in the Gulf.

TPBM needs a vacation.

Yes, definitely, and I suspect true of most of those even lower down.

TPBM has a Lancastrian accent.

No, I don't have a Lancastrian accent, or any accent for that matter. Other people have accents, but not I.

I certainly can remember her - Miss McAulay. I'll never forgive her for making me dance around the maypole.

TPBM would like to be in high school again, but know what they know now.

Being a lowly Antipodean we didn't have Arctic Roll (sounds cold anyway) but I do remember Peters Ice Cream, as promoted by Oz TV's Zig and Zag in the early to mid 1960s. Zig turned out to be a bit of a dick 20 years ago so I heard.

TPBM is having an early night for a change.

Absolutely, I need to protect my remaining neuron.

I am sorry that I missed the Seychelles bit of this thread as I could have bored everyone with my story of my invitation to become involved in the abortive Coup in the Seychelles in 1981. I am happy to confirm that I did not.

TPBM has been involved in a coup, even if it simply involved moving one's better half's toothbrush from the left of the bathroom cabinet to the right or vice versa.

The only coup I've done was in a coupe when I cooed the future missus to shift over as it was better I drive - and regretted it. She ended up a real back seat driver in the front seat. "Slow down! You drive too fast! Why such hurry up! Watch little bird...almost hit! Not liking this! No good kharma! Watch...car coming!"

TPBM reckons most nagging is done in the car.

Jeez all the best stinkers of a row and the basis of divorces are had with insouciant women in cars from Florida, Amsterdam to Brakpan! I can think of at least three humdingers in my own meagre life, all in cars! =))

TPBM thinks that women are right, not by divine right but as a survival technique, not theirs I mean but one's own!

Oh, so very, very true.

TPBM knows without doubt that women have selective memories.
