Nah. I have a craving for Granny’s squirrel gizzards and shoo-fly pie after watching an episode of Beverley Hillbillies just now. 😋

TPBM has their own weird culinary tastes.

Yeah....I do have some weird culinary tastes!

TPBM also hasn't seen an episode of the Beverley Hillbillies since the 70's!

True. Still remember Elly May...drool. Sadly, no longer with us.

TPBM prefers to remember old loves as they were.

True. Even worse if they were to catch up with me.

TPBM has been burned by an old flame.

Fortunately never been burned by an old flame. Once came close by a whisker though.

TPBM sometimes wishes that old lovers admitted they screwed up by dumping you.

False, I was always one for walking away and moving on. On one occasion I received a grovelling apology which came across as sincere, but I declined the opportunity to meet up again. Once bitten Twice shy. :D

TPBM has sussed out the three basic plots for any Romantic novel particularly Mills and Boon 'novels'

Essential reading for nurses on night duty o:-)

Heard of Juliette Mills and Pat Boon but didn’t know they wrote romance novels. 🤭

As the dumpee it always hurts more than being the dumper, but once you get dumped and the dumper screws up the rest of her life there’s strangely no satisfaction - even I’d she had been a total bitch.

TPBM needs to have old deep wounds healed. Or at least Closure.

Hmmm...Old deep wounds AND Closure? I thought a few years ago I had both!, now I'm not so sure at all....3 years from now I'll send a happy 60th & see where that goes...

TPBM is an incurable romantic also

True. In fact I’m more romantic than my wife!

“Let’s have a nice intimate candlelight dinner sweetheart with champagne in a beautiful restaurant.” :)

Nah Rod, let just go to that open fish joint on the corner.”

TPBM thought the woman is supposed to be the romancer in any marriage! ;;)

No, the woman is the one who complains if the man isn't a romancer.

TPBM is viewed with suspicion if he/she brings home flowers.

True. She thinks I’m softening her up because I’ve made a boo boo she doesn’t yet know about.

TPBM believes ‘saying it with flowers’ is a big no-no.

Say it with flowers. Give her a triffid.

TPBM believes that sometimes, saying anything is a big no-no.

True. But saying nothing can also be a big no-no, esp if coupled with a sideways look the wrong way. It can be a bloody nightmare sometimes when it’s that time of the month.

TPBM hates the sight of blood.

Fortunately not, otherwise I wouldn't have lasted very long as a nurse. Particularly as I specialised in anaesthetics. ;;)

Grew up in outback Queensland where the Dentist turned up in a railway carriage fitted out as a surgery, only trouble was the drill was operated by the dentist foot pumping on the pedal which spun the drill, only ever seemed to get the last appointment when his leg was tireing,so yep hate the Dentist.

No, SWMBO isn't a dentist.

True. Being gang raped by fat feminist butch lesbians! :-s

Nah. Even though I’m at home at FL370 I dread climbing a ladder more than 5 feet high. Especially a wonky one.

TPBM hates having a ladder in their stockings.

Can't say, have never donned stockings, but agree 100% about being at home at FL37, and being terrified of being 5ft up a ladder
