Tropical gardens, vegetable gardens, flower gardens...all gardens are good.

TPBM enjoys life's small pleasures.

Yep...sure do! Drinking me ‘shine, banging the missus, flying the Cub and taking a huge satisfying Dalton-cracking dump first thing in the morning. Man It doesn’t get any better than that! :D

It’s big hairy complicated pleasures I don’t like - such as all-day Thai weddings.

TPBM has a mozzie problem at home due to recent heavy rains despite all the council-spraying. 🦟

I do have an itch but the buzzing I hear is not that of a female anopheles mosquito...

TPBM hates that song and musicals as much as I do...

I suspect so, however every now and then there are decent musicals which I have enjoyed, but only live not on film. The best was a couple of years ago when we were in London, we went to see the Book of Mormon. It was excellent and we didn't stop laughing throughout. :-bd We keep on meaning to get hold of the book that the musical is based on.

TPBM likes a good laugh! :o)

True. Me and the missus could certainly do with one right now (see TRABB).

TPBM wishes travelling circuses still existed.

We have travelling circuses every time there's an election in the offing, as well as the permanent 3 ring job in Canberra.

TPBM holds politicins in high esteem, and believes that they are models of probity.

Travelling circuses...remember them...remember staring up at a woman on the trapeeze (?) in a glittering leotard doing the splits high up a pole....mesmerized I was, even at that early age....cue a Sir Les Patterson joke!

In later years remember seeing sad looking elephants cuffed to a solid steel stake in the ground....not at all lovely to see... :(

The last Circus I saw was near on 20 years ago when Mrs Fliegs best friends 70 year old mother left us with some hash cookies, devoured them and took Jnr Fliegs to the travelling circus. The lady selling the tickets out the front also had the gig of showing off a half dozen poodles....by the time she got to this (remember she was out front selling tickets previously) ...and a half dozen straggly looking poodles had done some reallly crappy 'tricks' the cookies kicked in!!!.....nearly wet ourselves in fits of laughter at how terrible it all was...no animal cruelty, just the hilarity of those poodles lining up in a row as if it was a ground breaking 'trick'

Ah right....ok back to it ... TPBM also enjoys breaks from their more serious pursuits

I suspect not as I spend most of my time in shorts and t-shirt.

TPBM spends most of their time at home in bare feet. ;;)

True. Besides it’s Asian etiquette to remove one’s clodhoppers before dragging the outside dirt into the bourse.

TPBM likes to spruce oneself up to looking a million bucks now and then, to attend parties, weddings, soireès, funerals, St George’s Day celebrations, Royal Command performances and Shmicko dinners.

Indeed!, I always make a point of dressing as well as possible, pocket square in the sports coat, NEVER a matching tie and pocket square! perhaps a flower in the lapel, crisply ironed shirts and trousers, belt matching the shoes etc

At last weekends event I pulled of white jeans with a white shirt that had a wide purple check, Navy blue sports jacket, open neck, polka dot pocket square, the white jeans rolled about 2 inches above the ankles with navy marbled loafers and invisible socks....showing off some ankle like someone far younger than me....maybe I looked faintly ridiculous at my age, but I did have more than a few compliments from men & women alike!

But most of my regular time is spent in boardshorts, ripped / stained t-shirts and bare footed.

Never wear shoes into the house, ever, its a clean space.

TPBM also knows how to do "Sprezzatura"

Well no actually, couldn't cope with ivory corsets for a start. let alone the long skirts with bum ruffles. :))

Not me,I have a longing to live in the future and to revel in the advances of mankind.

TPBM Has a craving for a packet of crisps washed down with a cool frothing ale.
