If Mr Lineker wants to be a voice for people with no voice why doesn't stand for Parliament as an MP?

Same reason we'll never know what happens when you cross a pig with a politician - pigs have standards ;)))

Time PGMOL head, Howard Webb, proves he's got balls and suspends referees Taylor and Mariner whilst their parts in both recent VAR red cards against Man United's Casemiro are investigated. The red card of yesterday should be rescinded, as there appears to me, to have been prejudice shown by these two officials.

I would call the whole thing a merry-go-round if it were not so merry!

Questions as to whether Lampard really knows what he's doing taking the job on again.

I'm sure he read the cheque very carefully before deciding ;)))

A statement on the club's official website said: 'Blackpool Football Club can confirm Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor have both left the club by mutual consent.
'With results on the pitch not improving in recent weeks, the decision has been agreed by both parties that a change is needed.
'The club would like to thank both Mick and Terry for their efforts and wish them well for the future.'
Just missed out on Lampard ^:)^

The best game I ever saw live on TV was Aston Villa vs AC Milan (might have been Inter), a European competition in the 1980s. It was a miserable, mizzly midweek night.
From 5 minutes in, you knew Villa were going to win. The Italian team cost several tens of millions, the Villa team about 12 bob 'n' a ha'penny. Every individual AC Milan player was clearly more skilled than his oppo, and yet the Villa team energy, how hard they worked for each other, was in a different league. On form, they should have lost 0-4, but I think the final score was 3-2 Villa. And none of the Milan team played badly, they just didn't have the same team spirit and empathy.
Next Saturday, Villa were so drained they lost at home by 3 goals to Accrington Stanley or similar, but in midweek they were glorious.

Woody, did you not see the the Euro Cup Final where Liverpool came back from 0-3 at half time in Turkey to win it? That was pretty amazing!

I, for one, will never forget that night. I went round to a mate's house to watch it, and once Liverpool were 2-0 down, we decided to go to the pub, one where it wasn't being shown. As we were into our second pint, we both got texts to say that the score was now 3-2, so we raced back to my mate's house to see the last 30 minutes and the penalty shoot-out. What a night!

I was at that game as well, but the Forest game was just 90 minutes of pure football.

Canny score at the Toon today. The Spurs cockerel got well and truly plucked.
