Nearly cheered a Spuds goal last night, but couldn't. Handy result though.

No. Defeat? Yes. But not going down to defeat in that manner!
Anyone that thinks Zaha is an attacking full back needs his head examining.

Apparently Big Sam kept the players in the dressing room for 40 minutes after the match, wonder how much he charged for that

Re: The New Football Thread
Charlton have flogged Lookman to Everton. The Duchatelet master plan (not even highly original) is coming along nicely.
Good luck to the lad but Everton have a habit of buying starlets that soon fall out of favour. My son's ex-team mate was one of them. Went there too early (for big personal money), fell out of favour, now plying his trade in Sweden.

Re: The New Football Thread
This weekend (Sunday) is the clash of the best two Northern cities. One will be wondering about the results. Everton are interested in Morgan Schneiderlin but Utd wanting 24M for him. Can't say he has impressed me, though we could do with a clear out at the back.

My friend's Grandson played today for AFC Fylde when they beat FC United of Manchester 3-1 today. That makes them 9 points clear at the top of the table.

Re: The New Football Thread
I wonder how many Accas Liverpool buggered up yesterday!
Mine wasn't one of them since it had already been buggered up by sodding Bournemouth. If I'd known they were going to make 11 bloody changes.....

Not much chance of any giant killing, although I would fancy the winner of Bolton/Palace at home against City.

Wycombe won on penalties.
My son played for them some 20 years or more ago and I was a President of Vice at the Club.

Re: The New Football Thread
Do I not like that. Sadly, Graham Taylor has died.
No great views on him per se, although he was daft to take Line Acre off that time. Handed the usual hopeless task with England.

Re: The New Football Thread
Tis sad, agree with the comment that he had a hopeless task with England.
