The very least that they should be doing.
Premier League and English Football League clubs are set to wear black armbands and hold a minute's applause to honour Brazil football legend Pele.

The Scottish Professional Football League has also suggested all clubs pay their respects with a minute's applause or "other appropriate gesture".

Three-time World Cup winner Pele passed away on Thursday at the age of 82.

Tributes have poured in from across the world and Brazil has declared three days of national mourning.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

If hiring Gary Neville as manager isn’t the worst thing to happen to a football club, then they really are in the s***

I wasn’t going to mention it, but can’t resist.

My admiration for Lineker, Wright and Shearer has just gone up 100%.

Pity Marina Ovsyannikova doesn't play football as I would have been justified in mentioning her here too. Oh, I just did!

BBC/Pravda....

Football supporters are being urged to call out Gary Linekers name throughout the game they’re attending tomorrow,
just to see how MOTD try and edit it out ^:)^

If only the editors of the Völkischer Beobachter had taken a moral stand in the late 1930's. The moral lack, and cowardice in this land, is obvious to who will see. Enemies and friends included. Putin loves this discord.

Salut to those with some basic human morality and integrity in this.

MOTD without the pundits? Might be worth watching.

Wonder who initially directed the BBC's attention to Mr Lineker's comments on Tw@tter - surely it wouldn't have been Mr Lineker himself, would it?

The current government, who for reasons of their own are trying to divert the British populace from the real problems here, like the collapse of the economy, the ongoing destruction of the NHS, the environment, the fact that were are forecast to grow less than Russia in the next economic year, our geopolitical weakness, the total fragility of our armed forces etc. etc. ?
