You can bid farewell to Woy.
Already done that once, worst Liverpool manager since Phil Taylor, the one before Bill Shankly in 1959 if anyone’s interested.

I’m actually planning on going to two games this weekend , on Saturday Maidenhead United v Halifax Town and Sunday, Liverpool v Crystal Palace, Maidenhead was the last ground that I went to before all the lockdowns, so I thought that it should be the first one that I go to when allowed, although supporting MUFC doesn’t seem right :D

I believe they go by the name of 'The Magpies', Woody. So just pretend it's 'The Toon' who are playing! :))

Sunderland are out of the playoffs.

Carlo Ancelotti has left Everton to become head coach of Real Madrid for a second time.

The 61-year-old Italian, who managed Real Madrid for two years between 2013 and 2015, has left Everton after 18 months in charge at Goodison Park.

He succeeds Zinedine Zidane at Real and the move leaves Everton searching for a sixth permanent manager in five years.
Roy Hodgson is available :D

Oops... Fabrice Muamba The Sequel. Denmark-Finland just got abandoned after one of the Danish players, Christian Eriksen, collapsed on pitch during the match in a similar manner. Hopefully he'll pull through.

With a bit of luck that's maybe the last we'll hear about the games here in Scotland (first time since .....whenever blah blah). As for the rest of them? - who gives a flying ****.

Actually I'm not sure how the hell that happened. We had a complete, and I mean COMPLETE self destruct by our hard drive last week and the back-up external HD - wasn't!! Buggah!! In fact double Buggah!! We are in the process of trying to rebuild everything.
I'll probably have to rejoin in here with my proper name and password. At the moment my least favourite words after "social distancing" is "password". Can you help me out a bit here Alison??
Grrrrrr!

What do the footie affectionados think of Ronaldo and the Coke bottle? I understand the man was very happy to accept the company's sponsorship previously. Has someone crapped in his cornflakes?

Well, this is going to present an interesting dilemma for the sponsors. Pogba follows suit by removing the Heineken bottle, no doubt on the basis that he is a devout Muslim. The beer was non-alcoholic, but Pogba no doubt chose to ignore that.

I know from my (albeit distant) involvement with motorsport that the sponsors pay eye-watering sums just to have a small logo on a cap or elsewhere on clothing, so I can only imagine what Coca-Cola and Heineken pay for their product placement. I reckon this could set off another woke-style trend and if the advertisers withdraw their sponsorship, it will have a serious effect on the bottom line of these tournaments.

Back in the early nineties, Ayrton Senna told me that Banco Nacional of Brazil paid $1m a season, just to have their logo on his cap...

This could make the Toxteth Riots look like a kids' outing. I suggest that if this does come to pass, then Rafa should live in Manchester :)

The fans will get over it.
