Will Easyjet get a bill for the costs of the interception?

Re: Write your own Daily Mail aviation incident drama
From my nephew
Doesn't stop those who have been there grinning. Mind you, we were once intercepted by 2 RCAF 104 and 2 FAF Mystere at the same time, only because we would not declare our type and number (both verboten at the time).
Doesn't say why but implication was a very short flash to bang time. From *****
Seems like an over reaction to send jets so quickly. Not sure how they lost contact though. Could have been technical or just didn’t realise they had to change frequency

They could have been 'off frequency' for quite a while.

They’re going to have fun with this one
Lots of pictures on various BA WhatsApp groups, so it’s genuine

It crossed my mind it was to reduce the number of steps a first class passenger would have to climb.

What is that Sidewinder kit?
It looks as if it was a gentle collapse. I wonder if the other bit like stairs could have damaged other parts.

External power.
Come on, guys and girls - where's the METAR? If this were TOP we would have had several 'accident' findings by now.

Luckily the breakage, noted in the story that has broken, didn't occur while the aircraft was braking!

Stylishly done, Sir as I would expect! (Bit of a challenge for Panties and his 'tech'=)) )Luckily the breakage, noted in the story that has broken, didn't occur while the aircraft was braking!

"The incident took place as the British Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was about to take off at Heathrow. The nose gear of the aircraft was seen collapsing, leaving the front tip of the plane resting on the ground. It is not known what exact damage was caused, but images on social media showed the plane tilting forward while crew members rushed to solve the situation."

Re: Write your own Daily Mail aviation incident drama
Oh, OFSO, that's just so simple. Get the 5 neddys in the DM link at #134 to go and stand on the tail. That should do it.OFSO wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 6:55 pm"The incident took place as the British Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was about to take off at Heathrow. Then there is.
another Boeing auto feature?vital piece of landing equipment could have folded itself up inside the plane.
Re: Write your own Daily Mail aviation incident drama
You guys just do not understand the complexities of aviation. Without a METAR we are powerless. It looks to me, however - working blind without that METAR - that there was some very soft ground there which kind of shattered as you can see in ian's pic, and the nosewheel just went into it. Could be tarmac laid by the same gyppos that keep bothering me for my drive.

Graphic really helped.
Still no METAR though.
