Once picked up a HS 748 from a paint job. Instead of hand painting in the nose wheel bay they sprayed. Nose wheel wouldn't lock down on landing.

Watching "Gas Monkeys" where they build a chassis, then demount everything for painting, then reattach components, interesting how a coat of paint can reduce clearances below zero and nothing fits.

Reading the above brought to mind the time I was laying in a Hospital bed, reading the article published in the local Newspaper about the accident which put me in that hospital bed! :(( #-o

The article hopelessly mis-spelled my name!

And to this very day, some thirty years later, I am still most thankful and grateful that it did!! :-bd :-bd

Years back I made a technical presentation at a computer show which was covered by the industry press and who contrived not only to get my name wrong, but fouled up my job title too...

"Mr M Bareback, Anal Programmer, indicated that the cyclomatic complexity indices for the software under review were high"....

FFS, I still can't live that one down...

Not sure if it was in this forum somewhere that I mentioned I had a small part time business in the 90's renegotiating electricity and gas prices for businesses. It was called "XXXXXX Utility Analysts". For years after I wrapped it up a Google search would throw up "XXXXXX Utility Analists".

Passengers safe after small plane nose collapses at Scottsdale Airport
The only two people on board during the crash were deemed safe by officials.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Two people are safe after a plane they were aboard crashed in Scottsdale on Sunday.

The nose gear of a light sport aircraft collapsed while a pilot was landing at the Scottsdale Airport around 1 p.m. The two passengers were the only people on board, airport officials said.

The area was temporarily closed for authorities to move the airport but has since reopened.

Officials have not yet said what was the cause of the crash but the FAA will investigate.
