I also had a post office £2 request. I replied it wasn't worth £2 stick it.

Before these scams I did have a request force insufficient postage. It was about £3 and would have involved a 15 mile round trip. I guessed it was some bespoke car dust caps costing £1.99 and had been sent cheapest postage. I just claimed my money back and let the Post Office whistle.

Had two calls this week on Mrs PN mobile from Carphone Warehouse, heavy background noise but on the first gather they had an IPhone 12 offer at £40. As I have no idea of IPhones that passed me by.

Second call, Asian female. Same deal, I asked if she spoke English. She said yes and ploughed on. Did I have an IPhone or Samsung? No.
Could I tell her......? No.
Would I tell her.....? You obviously don't understand English.

She hung up.

How people can even understand what they are trying to scam you for I don't know.

I get calls on my Spanish smartphone, some wretched woman gabbling on and on in Castilliano. The phone displays the words "SCAM CALL" in large red letters over the number so it really isn't even necessary to answer. Really clever, that.
