Re: SCAMMERS !
4ma, congrats, first of the year. How much did they want? Last year it was around £5,000. Setup a fake account and ask for time to pay.
Curiously since I was in Lagos last year and arranged for the scammer to book me an hotel in Accra and meet me at the airport I have not heard from anyone.
Have you reported them to Report Phishing. Gov?

Re: SCAMMERS !
Some many, many years ago on an early morning commuter train bound for New York, I found myself in the presence of a pan-handler brandishing a trumpet that he admitted he had zero ability to play but was going to start practicing right there and then if he didn't receive what he considered to be a generous donation from those within the carriage...That probably depends on how much you want to see the pictures, or conversely, how desperately you don't want to see them
He quickly got his money albeit somewhat begrudgingly...

This kind of crap from these idiots goes straight to the report phishing site. This time my character and integrity could be redeemed for the prompt payment of USD1650 (or bitcoin equivalent) or whatever that's worth in pounds shillings and pence.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 6:58 am4ma, congrats, first of the year. Re: SCAMMERS !
The frequency of the Bitcoin extortion scam emails has dropped off here, but my system has rejected tens of thousands of them.

Ilondel, either one team who have brought it back into play or another team has bought the kit.

Gulp! Hadn't thought of that loophole!
Re: SCAMMERS !
Recently, telecom calls from 00 numbers - silent when answered.
What do they seek to achieve?
Just learned that 0013 (the latest) is not a genuine number.

Re: SCAMMERS !
Rich at last ! I've just received an e-mail advising me that I've won $12 billion Canadian in a Coca Cola sweepstake, but the CEO of the Royal Bank of Canada has asked the writer of the e-mail to ask me to sign away my rights to it, and the writer has personally appealed to Justin Trudeau to allow me to receive this prize on humanitarian grounds, and he has apparently agreed.
Now all I have to do is transfer $100 US from my bank account to receive an ATM card to allow me to withdraw the money at my leisure. Can't believe my luck. This had been automatically filed in my iPad junk mail folder. How can Apple get it so wrong ? I had nearly erased the whole folder without looking !
Should I admit that it must be five or six years since I last drank a coke, and that a sugar free version, so maybe they've got the wrong winner ?
Don't all write asking for a handout, I'm a tight-fisted Yorkshireman.

Re: SCAMMERS !
I had a Hermes delivery text this morning. They tried to deliver on Saturday but needed me. - you know the rest.
Also just started to get the Gmail Phishing again. Two this week after a gap of a month. One was a Dyson free trial ending and the other a financial offer.

Re: SCAMMERS !
They don't give up do they? The week after 4 arrests for the Royal Mail scam, I got another Royal Mail Scam. I am expecting a package from RM this lunchtime and had an earlier text to give the delivery time. The only problem is the scammer used the date of the 25th and I only ordered my Covid Test kit yesterday.
The other clue is the message itself:
Royal Mail: Your parcel has been returned to our local depot 25/05/21. Follow steps online for delivery via royalmail.co.ukposted.com.
number was 07726 301803

Re: SCAMMERS !
Both the OFSO phones, his and hers, today received a recorded message directed at Mr OFSOs real name, indicating fraud was being performed on Mr OFSOs NatWest Bank account and inviting a "tap here to contact the fraud department". Phone apps and internet banking reveal nothing untoward, nor has the NatWest sent me a message to say transactions happening. Google search of the phone number revealed it was a mobile phone in Manchester.
