M60 4EP is the post code on my bank's post code. The address on the bank card is different. I wonder if the M60 is used by more than one bank.

Had another one of those phone calls telling me my card has been used to make a payment of £600 to a foreign account and to press '1' to speak to an 'adviser'. The call originated from Chennai. The feckers don't give up do they?

Got an e-mail today from the Department of Justice US (that's how it was written). The e-mail said I had been subpoenaed and I could click on a link for further information but it had to be done before a certain date. I figure they will either call or men in trench-coats will come and collect me if they really need me.

And this one is true - unfortunately reflecting the neurotic level of suspicion concerning scams in business. Some while back, in the US, I received a substantial cheque from the real US Department of the Treasury, you know, the people that actually make the money. This thing was about 8 inches wide and 4 inches deep. It was covered in US symbols, Eagles, flags banners, signatures, everything you would expect. My bank insisted on putting a hold on the it until it was verified ! Perhaps they thought the Department of the Treasury was overdrawn.
