Yep, sorry, mea culpa. The programme started at 1930 UK and I only hit send at 2000. I am sorry.

It was quite interesting, a couple of classic love scams but in the one case the woman scammed had clearly never spoken to the scammer, or she was very stupid, because when the presenter called him, he was clearly a WAW (West African Wog) from his voice, but had pretended to be, and sent photos of, a white man called Perry.

These people are filth, pondlife.

REPORTING SCAMS : I would guess this only applies where there is a UK connection, so as 90% come from Africa, it's not really going to do much :

The National Cyber Security Centre, a branch of the intelligence agency (GCHQ), has launched the suspicious email reporting service with a simple request of the public: forward any dubious emails to report@phishing.gov.uk, and the NCSC’s automated scanning system will check for scam emails and immediately remove criminal sites.

Why do Apple make everything so "difficult" ?

Madams Apple decided to update all by itself, following which when her e-mails arrived they were dictated by Voice Over at breakneck speed, almost unintelligible, and definitely not wanted, F*** Off Apple. Found no way to stop it, and Siri was strangely silent. Madness. Eventually a "notification" that made no sense was posted, containing an X in the corner, selecting that stopped the Voice Over, but .... one is fearful of it starting all over again, why should one's life be dictated to be f*****g Apple ?

Back to thread .... here in NZ, and I guess elsewhere too, it has long been possible to transport one's mobile phone number to another carrier, should one decide to save a bob or two by changing the provider, for instance I moved from the greedy national Telecom to a more attractive private provider a few years ago and kept the same number, but today read that Scammers are operating in NZ by hacking into one's SIM card and taking the number to their own phone, then receiving the two-stage identification "secret" code sent by one's bank by text to authorise moving money from one's account, and have already skimmed NZ residents of $millions already. How does one guard against that ?

Also, there is some 'App' being touted to pay retailers "contactlessly" during this Corona stuff, i.e. not even using a Pay Wave Credit card sytem, which I have personally rejected and had removed from one bank card, tho' another has refused - just hope I never leave it behind anywhere for anyone to pick up and use. Word on the street is that retailers may refuse to sell you if you can't join the club, and transfer money by use of mobile phone. Stuff 'em, Cash is King if I DECIDE ?

Why should ones life by be subjected to all this f*****g digital nonsense, can't I control my own destiny anymore ? and I flatly refuse to buy a Smartphone. Don't need one. Stuff it all, I say.

For the last 10 days or so I have been carefully harvesting the emails of all these halfwitted excuses for criminals who've sent me scam emails. Each time I reply I .cc all the others, usually asking a series of stupid questions.

I have also got a few bank account details which they are using, mostly in the USA which I have reported to the banks. If anyone want to join the fun here they are. I suspect that by putting them up here they will be picked up by bots and added to various mailing lists which will further annoy them.

I would not wish anyone to think that this is an open invitation to subscribe these good people up to the Jehovah's Witnesses, porn sites, life insurance, or in any other way annoy them, circulate their emails, or make aspersions as to what type of farmyard or domestic animals had carnal knowledge of their mothers prior to their birth.
