I never thought that pangolins were real as there was a text game on the Spectrum that asked questions with yes / no answers which which ended up with the answer "You were thinking of a pangolin" of which I had never heard.

We have 30 of our own hippos but no one gave us a certificate for them.

Received a call a little while ago which Caller ID showed with a number but no name with an Alabama area code.
answered, but a delay before a beep and someone came on the other end.
Background noises indicated a call center.
Voice on the other end introduced himself wit a mumbled name and said that he was from the Department of Justice in a heavy Indian accent.
He asked for someone who was definitely not me. At that point I told him he was a scammer and probably not in Alabama either.
Maybe from the Indian Department of Justice.

I have a Virgin Money credit card. I use it infrequently and had not used it for several months. Yesterday, I received a text from them asking about an attempted transaction and whether it was genuine. It was attributed to a company in the US called TrucknTow in Detroit. It seems to be a genuine but purely US-based organisation with no overseas affiliates. I had a conversation with Virgin this morning, and they have put a block on my card and are issuing a new one. The consensus was that it was a try-on by someone using the name as a front. An email has been despatched to Detroit advising them about what has happened.
