Re: Friday Jokes
Magnus - got a bit of a problem there, and I don't know how to put it to avoid upsetting some people - shall I just say she is appears to be using too much white make-up? Did I get away with it that time?

More on a 33 1/3rd, less on a 78. Can't remember what the 45 RPM (i.e. for LPs) had.
Re: Friday Jokes
- not in the UK - I still have some plastic 78s.78 was for wax cylinders

Re: Friday Jokes
If you were running a turntable at 16.666, it was hardly likely to be precise, sadly.

Surely the turntable speed would be as accurate as the motor speed? Generally related to mains frequency on cheaper units, so not that precise anyway. (minus 1% to plus 1.5% here in the UK)

Re: Friday Jokes
Wasn't 16 2/3 used as grid distribution frequency at some point in Europe? It happens to be 1/3 of 50 kilocycles ( )
