I can't claim to have visited Newton's chapel, but I have been to Galileo's tomb in Florence in the Basilica di Santa Croce. There's also a remarkable leather school there if your wallet is deep enough. Had a delicious plate of Trippa alla Fiorentina close by.

His original tree is supposed to be by the Manor which is another 200 yards on. A tree that Tim Peake took to the ISS has been planted there too. There are several very old trees growing off the lane from the Manor. In season we pick apples of the road and many put buckets of apples out.

There is a nature trail along an old mine working rail track. Lots of apple trees there too supposedly grown from apple cores thrown out by the train crews.
