Wanking Wobbie banned me for 'spreading propaganda' and the ban became permanent when I wrote back and told him what I thought of him and his acolytes, in strong but non-abusive terms. I forget the name of the other Kremlin censor at Pprune towers with whom I dared to disagree.

I had several other bans for various reasons, mostly for daring to disagree with posters who were talking bilge. Oh, and one for posting a link to a 'risqué' joke.

First thing of the New Year was to clean up the Smokin Hot thread after a number of complaints were received. Also banning someone for a month. You make an interesting point Cape. Should "Bannings" be made public on our site? Or just quietly carried out in the background?

Dear Admin

I was on the brink of launching a new thread called "2018 pleasant, good humoured Where on Earth", to see if folk flocked there in droves or did not even pass by.

I did not because the latter could have been true which would have been embarassing, but above all because you have my support and confidence in how you run this site. The banning and cleaning up are pretty obvious to those who enjoy that thread. I hope that promised departures from the thread will return.

Wot he said! The WoE thread generally runs amicably enough, I hope the regulars and the dabblers can continue with the usual good natured banter, notwithstanding the recent events.
