The morons in the video noted above were in Wrexham and it seems that Wrexham has a special breed (or inbreeding) of morons if this story of McDonalds playing Mozart to deter the Wrexham untermenschen is true.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/h ... 71031.html

Maybe WREXHAM should be awarded the Golden Turd award for simply existing!

As the evening draws in, many dine out, a la carte, at our infamous MacDonalds. The females gather around the feeding place and watch out for the males as they compete to find a mate. The males take to their cheap Vauxhalls, the lower the better, and loud dance music is a necessity, Scooter being a popular favourite choice. Females also see darkened windows and little LEDs as a good features in the dominant males. As gallons and gallons of petrol are wasted as the males go “lappin round Maccy D’s”, the females present themselves in short skirts, accompanied by a fine pair of fake brown rockports (available at our local market). These are usually accessorised by some large gold hoops and hair scraped back into a ponytail, topped off with a large plastic flower to complete the look.
My necessaries are embark'd: farewell. Adieu! I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave.

Wrexham was a complete tip in the early/mid 80's when I lived there as a student nurse and I thought it couldn't possibly get any worse. Well it obviously has. :-q :|

Indiana man fell to his death while making TikTok video on Puerto Rico cliff, family says
Edgar Garay, 27, died after he fell from a 70-foot cliff on a day trip to Cabo Rojo, Coast Guard officials said.

An Indiana man who was recording a TikTok video died when he fell off a coastal cliff in Puerto Rico, his family and officials said.

Edgar Garay, 27, was seen stumbling toward the edge of a 70-foot cliff late Sunday afternoon in Cabo Rojo, Coast Guard officials said.

He was on a day trip to the southwestern coast of the island, according to the Coast Guard.

Garay was with a cousin, who had warned him to stay away from the cliff's edge, Edgar's brother Carlos Garay told NBC affiliate WTHR of Indianapolis.

"My brother has a TikTok account that he loved to upload videos to,” he told the station. “Unfortunately, that was what he was trying to do when he was closer to the edge than he should have been.”

The cousin walked away from the edge and glanced back but did not see Edgar Garay, Carlos Garay told the station.

Coast Guard rescue units searched for the man after a 911 call, and a local emergency dive unit found and retrieved his body Monday afternoon, officials said.

“We express our most heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Edgar Garay and pray they find closure and strength during this most difficult time,” Coast Guard Capt. José E. Díaz said.

Edgar Garay sustained major head injuries in the fall, his brother told WTHR, adding that Edgar was called often called Chuwey.

He was full of life and "a bit of a daredevil," and he loved posting to his TikTok account, his brother said.

A pro-gun lawyer was shot by his own weapon while visiting a hospital when a powerful magnetic field from an MRI scanner set the pistol off.

Leandro Mathias de Novaes was taking his mother for a scan at the Laboratorio Cura in Sao Paulo in January and entered the facility with a concealed handgun.

Despite warnings from staff to remove jewellery and metal objects in the MRI room, Mr Mathias kept his weapon on his waistband.

The magnetic field from the machine was so strong that the weapon was pulled from his waist and fired off a round, which hit him in his stomach.

The 40-year-old Brazilian was treated in hospital for more than two weeks before he died from his wounds.

The lawyer was known for posting pro-gun content to his 12,000 followers on TikTok.

A spokesman for the Order of Attorneys of Brazil in Cotia, São Paulo, said: “It is with deep regret that OAB Cotia communicates to all fellow lawyers the unexpected loss of our dear friend and lawyer Dr Leandro Mathias de Novaes.
Accident prevention protocols

“We are sorry for the loss and we sympathise with his family in this moment of pain.”

Laboratorio Cura said: “We would like to emphasise that all accident prevention protocols were followed by the Cura team, as is customary in all units.

“Both the patient and his companion were properly instructed regarding the procedures for accessing the examination room and warned about the removal of any and all metallic objects.”

The facility’s spokesman added that both Mr Mathias and his mother had signed a form regarding the protocols, but that the lawyer failed to mention his weapon and entered the unit with it “by his own decision”.

Police confirmed that the weapon was properly registered with a valid gun licence.

At least he won't be suing the hospital but I'm sure someone will try to sue them on behalf of his estate even though he was at fault. [-X

Catalytic converter theft suspect run over and killed, police say
His Award will be Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium plated :D

https://www.azfamily.com/2023/02/15/cat ... olice-say/

PALMDALE, Calif. (AP) — A man attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a parked SUV in Southern California was run over and killed when the vehicle’s sleeping driver awakened and started to drive away, authorities said.

The death occurred Tuesday evening in a retail parking lot in Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

Arriving deputies found a Ford Excursion partially backed out of a parking stall, a man lying on the ground and a smaller vehicle in the next parking stall.

The department said the Excursion driver was asleep when the smaller vehicle pulled up and one of the four people inside got out and began sawing the catalytic converter off the Ford.

“The victim woke up from the sound, turned the car on, put the vehicle in reverse, and felt a bump like she ran something over,” the department said. “She stopped immediately, leaving the suspect on the ground after running him over.”

The driver then called 911 to get medical help for the suspect.

The suspect was pronounced dead at a hospital. The other three people in the smaller vehicle were detained. No names were released.

Palmdale is in the high desert Antelope Valley north of Los Angeles.

A pastor in Mozambique has died after trying to fast for 40 days, emulating what Christ is said to have done in the Bible.

Francisco Barajah, founder of the Santa Trindade Evangelical Church, died at a hospital in the city of Beira, where he was evacuated in critical condition.

After 25 days without food or water, he had lost weight to the point where he could not stand up. He was aged 39.

He had been taken to hospital at the insistence of relatives and followers.

Mr Barajah was diagnosed with acute anaemia and failure of his digestive organs.

He was rehydrated with serums and an attempt was made to introduce liquid foods, but it was too late and and he died on Wednesday.

Karma's A Bitch! :ymdevil:

A man was crushed to death while allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic convertor, police say

https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/12/us/georg ... index.html

A man was crushed to death while allegedly attempting to steal a catalytic convertor from vehicle at a Savannah, Georgia, car lot, police said.

Officers were called on March 7 after the man, Matthew Eric Smith, 32, was found dead under a car, the Chatham County Police Department said in a release.

“Evidence at the scene indicates that the man was killed while he was illegally removing a catalytic converter from the vehicle, and the vehicle fell on top of him,” the release read.

Catalytic converter theft has skyrocketed around the nation in recent years, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, surging more than 1,200% since 2019.

The converters, which reduce pollution and toxic gas from a vehicle’s emissions, are relatively easy to steal and contain valuable precious metals such as palladium, platinum and rhodium.

Last year, federal, state and local law enforcement carried out a “coordinated takedown” of a multimillion-dollar network of catalytic converter thieves, dealers and processors that led to 21 arrests in five states, the Justice Department said in a November release.

“Some of these precious metals are more valuable per ounce than gold and their value has been increasing in recent years,” the department said. “The black-market price for catalytic converters can be above $1,000 each, depending on the type of vehicle and what state it is from. They can be stolen in less than a minute.”

Last year, according to police, 39 catalytic convertors were stolen from vehicles in unincorporated Chatham County.

Jim of course is highly unchuffed with the whole thing. Heard yesterday that a neighbour in the next close up had hers nicked, too.

Re. The water crossing we have a snorkel for the air intake. Had water over the bonnet once and we were OK. The electrics are the problem. You can't do long water crossings but a couple of minutes is OK. Still get nervous though. You do not want to get stuck in the middle of a croc infested river in remote bush. Also until you get in there you don't know how deep it is. Glug.

It only comes up an inch or two on the ducks and gulls, can't be that deep.
