A few years ago a female public servant here was awarded compensation for injuries sustained during a liaison with a colleague during a work trip. From memory, she received a neck injury when part of the bed gave way. (No, I have no idea either.)
The government, her employer, appealed, and I think it went to the highest court before someone had some commonsense.
Wasn't that the one where she fell off the bottom of the bed when changing positions?

Interesting use of the term 'workbench'. I first heard it when I was asked to design/make a bed for a woman I knew from Uni. She showed me into her bedroom and said "Here's the workbench." and I cracked up.

I did a couple of designs for her, and for a joke threw in one made of 1/4" checker plate with attach points for cuffs, recharge points for electrical 'devices', reinforced suspension etc etc. She decided that was the one she wanted, but as I work in wood, it was never made.

Funnily enough, a few years after she graduated, she went on the game.

'Fraid not, Slash. Was at her place to study once and was getting an obvious come-on, but didn't respond. Just as well, a few minutes later, her hubby arrived home.

Hadn't thought of that, but her hubby probably wouldn't have approved of that either.

Bit of a sad one, but I guess they all qualify.

Wonder if they were able to get a refund on the unused day? Hope so. It would take the sting out of the situation somewhat.

Unlike many of the cases noted on this thread this is a definite Darwin Award contender as the deceased definitely hadn't procreated!

I am apt to feel sorry for him. A breathless, rather silly, romantic moment gone very badly wrong.

TGG, the whole marriage malarky is badly wrong. Find a woman, propose, set a date, buy a cake and a dress, sandwiches in the parlour, bugger off to Bobbie in a banger.

Now, have a baby shower, go on long weekend cruise with girl friends bumping into some random stag party doing same. Organise fortnight on tropical beach for two complete groups of strangers, get married in wet suites on paragliders, etc etc

Man gored by bison sees date undergo same fate months later https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-49898709

We used to say “It could only happen in Ireland!” but once again the USA comes top of the league.

This pair are still alive and might breed!

Definitely don't qualify.

Darwin Award Failure
Just as well. If she had won the award the lion would have probably been killed.

The lion looks incredulous. Pity. Needs re-educating. Or possibly prefers white meat.

I’m glad the lion suffered no physical injuries in this event but what about its mental trauma??

That could scar a leonine for life and change its attitude towards bipeds.....?

I was standing on a railway station earlier, trains going through at up to 100mph. Two morons walking right along the edge, just to be defiant, whilst there are tannoyed and shouted announcements to stand behind the yellow line.

Sod them, I'd encourage elimination from the gene pool.

Think about the delays that may cause.
