Sun's up and shining down upon us.
Those of us that are left that is as East Mids appears to be launching the local populace into the deep blue void at a hell of a lick this morning.

RIS, you asked about the daughter who lost at cow wrestling. She's recovering nicely thank you. Her mouth will need further surgery along with much more dental work
but her shoulder seems to functioning ok now. One lucky girl.

IT IS FRIDAY

Morning all,
High cloud which may burn off, 21 for a guess of 26, if today is like yesterday a guess that will be comprehensively beaten.

Unusually for me needed to drain at 0430 and in the confusion of dogs, dark, stairs and half asleep fell down the last few steps.
Seem to be functioning this morning, just sore where bits made contact with harder bits.

Horsepitil this morning for the repeat chest testing, with machine it says in bold letters

Mucho high cloud about today. Presently 18c but expected to be +10 of that mark later.

It is noted that Woody hasn't as yet applied for permission to overfly southerm Iberia on his way to Madrid next week. He needs to or he may get treated as an illegal and be sent back without seeing the game.

Speaking of refugees, one of the "big orange pick them out of the water" boats was off shore yesterday morning.

It is also noted that regretably, elephant hunting has been authorised in Botswana.

Sorry El Presidente, but I’m sneaking into BCN Thursday evening and using train to Madrid Saturday morning, then reversing the process on Monday B-)

Morning folks. Yes indeed Ibbie. The President is coming up for election and the farmers want ellie numbers reducing. We are hoping that it is going to be controlled. Not American idiots blasting away all over the place. People will be killed. In areas where there used to be hunting the ellies are very agresive. They are not going to like being shot at. Just for a matter of interest Ibbie did you propose ellie hunting to get back in as President.

It was nice on my 06.00 walk but now cloudy.

I most certainly did Ex-A. Have the mayoral candidates on Amorgos opposed ellie hunting on the Greek Islands? You really must work to protect the ellies that reside there.

I have however let it be known that kicking lazy NRs is most certainly encouraged, but maltreatment of donkeys certainly is not.

Those yellow and red people at East Midlands have defo fallen out of favour for deliveries to Spain handsfree. Parcel from Francis Cotton's company being delivered today by Correos and Michael Ashley's mob are now using DPD/Seur.

Ibbie I have not mentioned ellie hunting to the Admiral but did mention shooting frogs. He just laughed and said that there is a village down the other end of the island where there are more frog holiday homes than locals. We had surveyors in our hamlet this morning for the next frog project. It is just too much.

So now we know, Theresa May will quit on June 7th, and we further know who is the favourite to succeed her. Oh dear, I have a strong sense of foreboding. One of my mother's "wise sayings" was "Never trust a man who cheats on his wife". :-s

Sunny day, going to wax oil the underside of number two runabout car and have a weed at the allotment.
Visited the pictures this week, "Wild Rose", Jessica Buckley, who we usually see playing Russian princess's in costume drama, is an off the wall redheaded Glaswegian country singer just released from prison resuming her chaotic life back in Glasgow, it is quite recommended.

Have been subject to more depressing modernity, there is a website called next "nextdoor" in which everyone in the village sits crouching over a laptop in their bedrooms sending messages to their neighbours instead of going down the pub or meeting at the allotments, will refuse to log on or acknowledge its' existence.

Visited TOP today. 1st time in a while.

Had a PM from a Turkish gentlemen, he asked if I had been a Lightning pilot!

He is researching the 1963-4 Cyprus happenings, and wants to hear the British side.

Magnus, probably true, Capetonian you are in the minority.

At my polling station turnout was 45% compared with the local election at less then 25%. Lots more people were sending a message.

We have postal votes but usually we are at home so we turn up to the polling station and hand them in, was always suspicious of Prescott making the postal vote easy so just feel my vote is a bit more secure if i know it has made it to the polling station! The polling station seemed to be busy.

Also had postal votes but they are probably still laying on the hall floor where they fell when deposited through the letter box as we are still in Taipei. Last weekend of sightseeing with Mrs S, one more week of work next week and then back to the UK on 1st June. Hope the weather has warmed up a bit as it could be a shock to the system after 4 weeks here.

They probably don't want to pay those extortionate dropping off charges at your local heavier-than-air-machine docks.

Good to hear that your daughter is on the road to recovery. Is the cow wot dunnit in a pie now?
