Perhaps they'll use the same bleeping noise that some motorcycle turn indicators use.
Unfortunately it sounds just the same as the Pelican Crossing bleeps that let the hard of seeing
know when it is safe to cross. :-s

It's been a very pleasant day today which has been perfect for getting things done in the garden.
Back to rain tomorrow and more watching the river level graphs issued by the Environment Agency.

Use the method that is tried and proven.

Make every electric vehicle carry a couple of metal crates of glass milk bottles.

I could always hear them rattling along!

I have a main-ish country road running past my back fence. It's noticeable that whether electric or petrol, tyre noise is always much higher than that of the motor in modern cars. Trucks and diesel cars are just that bit noisier, but if you're going to fit noisemakers to electric cars then petrol-driven ones are going to need noisemakers also.

Morning folks. Deaf people manage to avoid being run over by looking. An electric car here wouldn't be silent because of the full blast jungle bunny noise coming from the sound system. The patches of grass we still have are being cut today. 1mm of rain last night. Nothing forecast. All very bad. Got to go and see the village coppers today to report the recovery of a few items from the robbery. they will demand them as evidence. They are not getting them. With the last robbery they kept things for two years and lost half of them.

I think people are getting deafer. More deaf ? Driving through the almost deserted Castelló in the Ford diesel (!) tourists walking down the middle of the street are unaware of the car coming up behind them until it almost touches their sorry arses.

There's a thunderstorm to the south this morning. My memory may be faulty but as a child, I'm sure we only had thunderstorms in the heat of the summer. Now the Weather Gods throw them at us any time of the year.

Quite, in a car park I sneak up behind them in a 2 litre diesel. While it is very quiet inside it is still noisy outside.

That is incredible Ricardian. Our pelicans have just taken off and headed up river again. They fish in huge groups swimming along and just ducking under water. In Florida I have seen them fishing by diving from the air into the water like a Kingfisher. No idea why the difference.

Grass cutting has come to a grinding halt. Fuel leak from the carburetor. May have to take it into town tomorrow and do a few other things to reduce the stress next Thursday town day. Bat count today - 10.

Morning folks.

No art today as I have to have Mrs IB at CdS hospital for 13.00 check-in for kidney stone removal op.

Blue sky but very cold wind blowing from a northerly direction

A highway roundabout on the outskirts of our village was recently resurfaced with Ultiflex 'tarmac' - one feature of which is 'silent running'.
Standing at the junction where the original road surface occurs, the noise effect is of the vehicle entering a flood as there is a sudden increase in tyre noise from silent to 'whoosh'.

Morning all,
Bit of high cloud and same wind, very gusty.

In trouble is I took a call on SM's phone yesterday, from the background I decided it was a call centre and hung up.
Later the same number rang and SM didn't answer thinking it was a call center.
It was the Horsepitil ringing her to say don't come the scanner is broken.

SM was up at 7 to go, she no longer does 7

She has gone for a dressing change now. Peace.

One hopes the op goes ok *Ibbie*

Bought 4 new tyres for the motor today.

At 82, I wonder if I'll buy another set?

Wet, windy and cold.

Good luck to Mrs Ibbie today. Hope it goes smoothly and relatively painlessly.

Being a Thursday, I'm off to the Royal in a short while for my 4 hour lie down and detoxing.
I must admit to feeling much better than when I started off on the haemodialysis. I've lost
8 kg as well - all of it fluid. This has huge benefits such as being able to wear my shoes again
and getting back into my old trousers. Still have a few kg of fluid to get rid of but it's slowly
going.
Hopefully the car parking will be better than it was on Tuesday when it was absolute chaos. ~X(

I'd be surprised if you don't Ian :-bd (buy more tyres that is)

Hopefully for plenty more.

Ibbie, my wishes for the Mrs. I take they would go for an ultrasonic procedure.

I've got a very small one* and nobody can hear me coming.

Ford diesel, 1.5, sits looking lost in the middle of an engine compartment designed for Real Big Motors.

Raining, windy and cold where I am. Roads open again but Girona to Figueras high speed train track closed as attack anticipated last night.
