I get pissed off (sorry to rant on this thread) with my wife's Corbyn-loving friend in London going on about how the British NHS is a disgrace, done-to-death by (of course) the Conservatives and how much better it is 'abroad'. The two examples above, our friend's problems with her daughter in Roses (parasites), and failures I know of from Germany make me believe that the NHS is favourable in comparison.

Weather report cloud and rain - just back from an hour's walk with the dog, light cloud and sunny, cool breeze, dog with her winter coat no problem.

I always thought the German NHS was good but when i mentioned it to a German he said it was rubbish and i should be thankful for the British NHS which he thought was a lot better!!

I would have thought that Fox would have dug himself out by now has anyone heard from him, or TB she usually knows what he is up to??

A headline that is not seen very often:
TEXAS MAN ADMITS KIDNAPPING 79 PEOPLE TO ANALLY PROBE THEM WHILE DISGUISED AS AN ALIEN

The other headlines in this spoof site are a joy to read!

Morning folks.

Only 5c for dog walk but a clear blue sky.

Hope Mrs IB can get some progress at the hospital later.

Morning from a bright and sunny Handsfree Towers.
Sadly it is not to last. Rain and unsettled weather heading our way.
Or not depending on which met you put your money on.

Here's hoping the Iberian ladies have their troubles resolved soon.
I can only echo OFSO in saying that as far as I'm concerned the NHS is
hard to be bettered for anything serious. Where it does fall down is the Social Services aspect.
That bit is totally useless as far as my experience goes.

Reminds me of the Monty Python song:

It led to our dining group in the Mess, Ferrets are Go (long story)

Morning folks, blazing sunshine, rain forecast but goodness knows where it is going to come from. Lawns cut today edges just being done. It is at least a six hour job. By the pool with a cold beer supervising. One of our CCTV cameras will not talk to the box. Too many walls in the way. Found a new location which will cover the area required. Requires a site visit though. Goodness knows what she will charge us. The husband son will do things for free but she is terrible.

Apparently they’ve had a run of 40+ days back home whilst here in Singapore it’s a positively cool 32 (but feckin humid!). Rain this arvo made things fresher.

Good day ladies and gentlemen.

I an trying to help my cousin's widow with the will so some visits to public services offices are in order. The local townhall went into strike as I was arriving because a township employee was shot by an angree citizen who had requested some water works to be carried for a long time.

I had to spoke with the vice mayor to make a payment today and not to pay a second visit.

PN, taking a look at the sidebar with the other, to say the least, outlandish headlines, one may feel a slight suspicion that the article is a piss-take.

Sun's out in N Spain, bit hazy as the molecules of H2O from Storm Gloria lift back into the atmosphere. With regard to light bulbs and gerbils, the most frequent items that I've been told to shove up my arse during my journey through life are my advice and my opinions.

No the guys couldn't give a stuff about where the money is coming from. They are so laid back they are horizontal. If it wasn't for the mother they would never make a living. I am sure that the father is way past retirement age but the son say he will work until he drops. You have to be pretty tough to live through the bush war in Rhodesia and have your farm taken off you. They are survivors.

Got a message saying Grand Daughter did the Otley run on Saturday, blimey thinks i that takes some doing a run up Otley Chevin. After enquiries it seems that the Otley Run is a pub crawl from Headingly down the Otley road to Leeds. On reflection i should have figured that out straight away.
Stood behind a chap in the bank today he looked as if he didn't have two pennies to rub together. He was getting money from the cash machine and he asked for his balance to be put on the screen, it was £99450.Impressions can be deceiving..
Been to a funeral this afternoon so that is another one gone, two already this year.

Busy day for an old feller like me..

Nice long walk with the Black Bitch today with a fair amount of wildlife on view. Unusually, spotted a wol perched on a branch.

I mentioned before, albeit a while back, that Sproglette Junior loves singing. Various choirs and stage performances.

It turns out she has entered a national singing competition looking for musical theatre singers. She has already got through the audition stage and I spent 3 hours yesterday listening to 30 plus kids singing their hearts out. Very entertaining.

Sproglette Junior was one of 4 selected to perform at the finals at a theatre in London London.

Slow cooker roast beef tonight.
