PN, taking a look at the sidebar with the other, to say the least, outlandish headlines, one may feel a slight suspicion that the article is a piss-take.
The whole site is a pisstake Belf. That’s what makes it funny and enjoyable.

A jolly good morning to you all.
+2C feels like -2C and partly cloudy.
We have a snow alert for later this morning. I can't see it amounting to anything other than a bit of sleet.

Another day at the Royal Derby. Kindle suitably loaded with reading material.

Just above freezing in northern Spain, but clear skies and 16° forecast at midday. Watching TV over brekkies. Biased political trials continuing in Madrid.

Morning all

Tis 8c this morning and another clear blue day. Temperature should make 17c apparently.

Long day at hospital with Mrs IB yesterday. She was sent to Urgencias for them to run a series of tests and an x-ray.

They eventually decided that she had never got rid of the viral infection after the operation in November and it had got considerably worse. Short courses of anti biotics, she's had five, had not killed it off. She's now on a 42 day course of a specific anti-biotic.

A dreich morning for a voyage to Kirkwall and visit to my friendly podiatrist. Should be a smooth journey as it's high tide and hardly any wind. Will try the Kirkwall hotel for lunch.

Afternoon folks. Blazing sunshine. Nice long walk across the flood plains this morning. Rather disappointing about the amount of rubbish at the bottom of the lagoon. Fishermen. We are trying to locate the rapids at the end of the lagoon. Obviously dry now. Think we may have it. Another bash tomorrow.

On me lock restoration today - bitingly cold wind. Waved at a passing Hercules wot was very low as it flew over Belvoir Castle. Had its ramp doors open so might have been dropping summat off for the duke and duchess.

Not very far actually but it was pretty much benign.

Went to the museum today and surveyed the entire guts of our art-deco Thompson refuel-er spread out on the workshop floor. Right now we have one damaged differential and three gear boxes. Engine and gear box are Ford 10 but differential might be from a Series One Land Rover. We are searching old sheds and under hedgerows.
Been in data comm since we formed the bits individually with a Morse key.

Morning folks. Yes indeed we are the most eastern in the Cyclades. It is Dodecanese next, very close. Haven't had any reports but our house is stone, built on rock and just moves a bit in an earthquake. We are on a major fault and in over 300 years it has survived many.

Had a friend here (Maun) who in the last earthquake ran out of her house. She said that she had seen it being built.

Guess what - blazing sunshine. Just awaiting a chap with a new metal door for the shed which we can lock. There is about 10,000 euros worth of solar, WIFI and CCTV equipment in there and anyone can just walk in. He has also built us a metal box for our jerrycans so that we can keep them outside. 100 ltrs of petrol in there with all the electrics is not good. :-o

Dodecanese
.

Never heard of it. Thought it was the inhabitants of some African shithole called Dodecania or something. Learnt something new.

Let's hope that the quake has not made a dodecahedron of the islands. The 12 faces of Euclidian beauty broken, one on each island.

I hope the tesseraction wasn't too bad...

Morning all,
Fine day, high film of cloud but 15 degrees already, Paco expecting 19.

Missed yesterday, got stuck down a no through road. This backed in behind me and his brakes failed.
On.
Recovery took a while.

Off to the tooth fettler again today, a check on last weeks excavation, still a bit tender but OK I think.

* Ibbie* I wish SM was getting the same sort of attention, her "Infection" just continues and wherever she goes nothing gets done. Different bit of Ma Lager province I suppose.

All for now.

Our German acquaintances have a fear of Spanish hospitals and doctors. At the slightest hint of troubles they are in the car and back up the autobahn to Germany. In a couple of cases I know someone was told in Spain they had 24 hours to get a health problem fixed or death *might* follow. They still drove back to Germany rather than see a Spanish hospital doctor. Likewise a fractured shoulder....back to Germany. I understand their wishes but don't share their opinion of German hospitals.
