RiS dad has a secondary residence in the Northwestern country. I was asked to negotiate a better telcom deal. I managed to find one and a router was provided for 20 €: We agree to have the router send at RiS dad's residence sometime next month. Today I received a call from the post office for the router is ready to be delivered at the city where the secondary residence is located. Delivery chez RiS was not an option. Money was deposited on a family's friend account after a polite plea to receive the router on RiS behalf. Issue settled.

Glad to receive the news about Angels - a much respected member.

Back from cardiologist. Change of personel to a very lovely looking young lady doc.

Seems I have an aortic valve that doesnt fully close. Another ECG and review in six months. Carry on. Dont want to do anything else as long as it stays as is.

As for Mrs IB, the scan that her specialist threw a wobbler about, having not being done to his spec and he wanted a new scan before proceeding further, contained a view showing and a report stating there was a larger 14mm kidney stone which was and is causing all her pain. This one can be blasted where it lies.

She has been shown the scan and report by our GP, who has told her to have the new scan done on Monday then immediatly go to see the specialist and see what he proposes to do after the scan on Monday.

She is to report back to our GP next Thursday. GP clearly not impressed by specialist's behaviour.

Waiting for ferry back to Stronsay after a few days in Kirkwall undergoing ultrasound scan, cystoscopy and acquiring a new set of hearing aids after losing them on a recent trip to Kirkwall. Woke up this morning to snow & frost all around.
After cystoscopy the doc says she wants me to have a CT scan "just in case", good job NHS Orkney got their own CT Scanner a few years ago (public subscription) otherwise it would be a 3 day journey to Aberdeen and back.

Morning all, bit cooler today but still bright and clear and will be quite warm again this afternoon.

Had another dentist visit yesterday. It wasn't due until next week but they called and said they could see me at 5pm if I wanted, so I agreed. Another ninety minutes in the chair, a couple more fillings sorted. I think that's it for now because they didn't try to get me to book another appointment. I seem to have gotten seven fillings replaced for $50 out of pocket which amazes me somewhat. Amusingly, my Fitbit recorded the time in the chair as sleep each time.

Had to read that twice. After reading the first line I thought you said erotic valve. ;)))

Home now which is nice. Sunday's flying was entertaining. But not as entertaining as the BA crew who diverted to Munich from Heathrow after flying from Phoenix. Had a rather pleasant chat with them.
Now signed off as a CRMi for GRT (ground recurrent). Phew.

Well done Reddo. Don't think I could have achieved that. Not one of my strong points. Had to take to my bed this afternoon. The antibiotics for cyst on neck taking taking their toll. Got another squirrel in an electric trap inside yesterday and shot another one on the veranda just now. Still loads to go. They are all over the place. They are laughing at us from the roof of the house now. Noisy things but good snake spotters.

Damn it all, most if not all of you guys have incapaciterations just when I was about to request a snatch squad to fly up to Paris and exfoliate me from the clutches of fifty-something-aged matrons on the next table at the Bistro of the 7th, Ecole Militaire. Neither wearing wedding rings so out on le chasse. I shall gather my fewmets and leave....

Ibbie, had an aortic valve swapped out for a new bovine tissue one a couple of years ago.
Absolutely tickety moo now. If that's the way you have to go don't worry about it.

After yesterday's hedge planting I have a body that aches everywhere to the ultimate degree.
Second only to my first experience of skiing.
Whisky and paracetamol applied. :-bd

PS the only problem with the heart valve is whenever rain is in the vicinity I get the urge to
lie down under the trees and chew the cud.

I thought replacement heartvalves were of porcine source (in which case I suppose the urge would be to roll in the mud)?

Orf to dear old London Town tomorrow to preside over the cremation of a dear old duck of a friend aged 95. Be good to see her family and sundry other friends. Not, however, looking forward to 90 miles of northbound motorway back to the lair in Friday rush-hour traffic.
Normally I'd have stayed overnight, but I'm Fat Controller at the Midland Railway on Saturday.

Just back from taking the Sproglettes to the bus stop and continuing for half an hour with the Black Bitch. Dry, cold but not unpleasant

Had been planning to head down to Hove Actually to visit aged pater but have cancelled due to crap ex forecast. Really didn't fancy 10 hrs driving with a precious cargo aboard in the middle of a storm. Shall reschedule.

Having avoided storm Ciara last weekend, looks like I’ll be working through storm Dennis this time :((
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I hope you've got Thomas and The Breakdown Train already to remove fallen trees from the line. We've got four down at the moment along me canal and are expecting that to be added to this weekend.
It's always my fault - SWMBO
