Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV
4M hope the little chap is OK. Maybe a review of visiting rights is called for.
The car wash places in town have been closed, no water then shutdown. Our cars are a disgrace. It takes our chap all day to just clean the windscreen and since he did that with car polish he is banned. Gave them a quick swill down this morning at least they are now presentable, outside at least.
Our project manager chap came around this morning to look at ship repairs. It is going to be a very expensive job, we knew this. Whilst on board we noticed more things nicked by the little black bastards. This will have been kids. They are born to steal. Once the repairs are done and the boat is refitted I am going to put razor blades in strategic places. Like in coils of rope and fenders.
Usually on Amorgos on this day it is champagne and buckets of wine, chef cooking for us. Today 'er is cooking and it is home brewed hooch. Hopefully in two years for our 25th things will be back to normal.

We were on a private tour in Sri Lanka with an Indian couple who had holidayed/worked in Sri Lanka before. I was stuffing myself with fish curries, hoppers and delicious sambols. Our new friends were asking the driver where the nearest KFC was to be found. Go figure.

Just some info. for the Bikers (not push bikes). A local biker came back to his bike and noticed something had been attached to the frame, he was suspicious and went to the Police station. Apparently it was a tracker and plod said eastern Europeans were probably the culprits, they would track the bike to his home and then come around at night and if the bike was easy to steal it would be gone. If the house was easy to burgle it would be. On reflection decent cars are probably just as attractive...

MrsP has just cropped my hair to 1/8 inch. The beard remains untouched. I may have to buy a Harley-Davidson to go with the look.

Ricardian, I believe our washing machine has more processing power than the early Apollo craft.

Round here the must have look for a Harley, of which there are a few, is a long, usually dirty, beard a la ZZ and an, again usually dirty, pony tail. A German helmet to complete.

For Mercury, and again for Gemini, they put stuff in the capsule for the talking monkeys to fiddle about with as there really wasn't anything otherwise for them to do.
The non-talking monkeys had already proven that there was nothing for the passengers to actually do.
Same-same the Tesla version. No need for a chauffeur.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV
Thanks for the good wishes folks. Much appreciated.
The little fella is back home with his mum. His face is a mess ( photo is X-certificate ) and he's got to go back to the hospital on Tuesday.
Felt so helpless not being able to do anything because of this lockdown. That's the second dog her ex has had that has bitten someone. As a friend said "There's no bad dogs, only bad owners". I'm beyond angry with the 2@t.
Must go and calm down.

Yet they turned-off the autopilot and did some manoeuvres using the side-jets.

They did so in order to justify their unnecessary existence.
They are passengers. Totally unnecessary for the purpose of spaceflight. Just unnecessary.
They were the payload. Just like chimps, but with baggage.

Try not to worry too much 4mastacker. My granddaughter had much the same injuries when a usually placid bulldog
bit her in the face for no apparent reason. Looked horrendous and we were all obviously very worried about scarring.
Five years on you can't tell anything happened. Hopefully it will be the same for the little lad of yours.
Grand weather still with us here.

Seeing as a lot of them work on the farms that would be a good business pinching tractors to order...

Morning folks.
Back to normal weather: blue sky, temperature 15c heading for 24c.
Covering of sand on cars and other outside items after last nights storm.
4ma I trust the young man is recovering and feels better today.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV
Morning folks.
Birds in the garden doing lots of twittering - didn't know they had mobiles.
Junior daughter reports that #2 grandson slept well last night after coming back from hospital - they want him back tomorrow: his face is turning a black and blue. I've spoken to him and he seems cheerful enough...a Paw Patrol Command Centre (ordered yesterday as a comfort present) has arrived and he's well chuffed. Hopefully no lasting consequences.
Going to sort out me bike seat - according to lots of videos, it's likely my bike isn't set up right rather than needing a change of saddle or me wearing pervy shorts. Would appear there is no such thing as a 'just-jump-on-and-go' bike that doesn't need adjustment. I altered the position of the saddle yesterday and that was a little less arse achey uncomfortable. Flag indicator has moved from Imperial Japanese Navy to Japanese National Flag.
