Those ribs.....I feel for her. I have stopped the prescribed painkillers and medication for mine. Minor side effects were dry, really dry, throat and total constipation. Major side effect was one day while out for a walk left side went into spasm, bending my upper body to the left and couldn't walk without help. Three miles from home. Decided to accept pain. Ibuprofen helps a little. Best wishes to your wife. Really !

boing, trust the wife recovers quickly and that no damage was done to her pointing finger, she will probably be on light duties for a while so you will get to know the pointing finger as you go about doing all the chores.

Your tranquil retreat looks much more appealing than Bournemouth beach this afternoon.

That's stunning, Ricardian. May I nick it to use as a screensaver background or whatever they're called?

My best wishes to Mrs B.

Having broken 'a number'* of ribs in my prang in PNG many years ago now I know what she is goingthrough.

Some never heal properly; indeed I have two I think that never healed properly at all and were described by a Medico as 'floating ribs.'

If I happen to lean on them or even cough or sneeze particularly violenly the buggers let go again! ~X(

Thinking back, I seem to break one again every year these days. :-q

* At the time, I was told that I had broken 'a minimum of 4, possibly 6 or up to 8 ribs. They couldn't really give an accurate number! :-?

Ricardian, that's surreal. I would love a copy I can blow up to wall mounting size.

Morning folks. All the best to Mrs Boing from Botswana. Incredible Ricardian definitely worthy of an entry to a photo competition.

Had a chap out to fix the solar system yesterday. Power cut at 03.30 the readings are all over the shop. There is one lead dangling not plugged into anything. This guy has a degree in botany, he should have stuck with daisies. Guests this weekend now the new zip on the meru tent has broken. Only refitted a few weeks ago.

What ho chaps and chaperines.
The weather has changed. 17C and CAVOK but Prob 40% of
thunderstorm with snow pellets/small hail later plus other
snot and derision.

I envy not Mrs Boing. Best wishes for a quick recovery as that
must really hurt.

Donner und blitzen here but the doves are cooing and I am able to walk hands free, and more importantly, pain free!

Hope Mrs Boing bounces back fast. Those zero turn mowers are death traps!

Good morning from the warm Costa. 22c it is and a high somewhere in the 30s expected.

Out with Ed on the paseo at 08.00, before it gottoo hot for him. Now having a sausage +HP sauce butty for breakfast washed down with a strong Americano.

Booked a week's respite for me last night. Sending Mrs IB to visit friends and relatives in Blackpool/Manchester areas at end of July. £250 return on sensibly timed flights. Had to be Sneazy, as no other airline operating back to Malaga at a reasonable time of day for transport to Manchester Airport from Blackpool.

It's not my photograph but it was posted to a public group on Facebook so it's fair game.

Best Wishes for a speedy recovery to Mrs Boing, hope Mr boing gets all of the instructions correct.

Light rain on the Humber, one forecast says sunshine this afternoon and the other says thunderstorms, we await the result.
Had a chap in to clean two Afghan rugs yesterday, we had been putting the job off because of all the scare stories about vegetable dyes running and only specialists could do the job.Seemed like the rugs would have to go to London or Newcastle.
We had a recommendation for a local chap who said he would be able to do it. He has done an excellent job at a reasonable price. naturally this has motivated Mrs 1DC who is now prowling the house trying to see how many other carpets she can get cleaned!
Mr. T.esco delivers today, what joy...

Suitable as 'Wallpaper', for the background.

A 'Screensaver' needs to be a moving picture, to prevent a pattern being burnt into a screen.
