Ryanair passengers were involved in a fight on a Malaga to Manchester flight.

The report says; "Police are then seen boarding the flight between Malaga and Manchester." Apparently UK Plod are now capable of levitation involving airborne interception of passenger aircraft?

BBC has reported that people with the coronavirus repeatedly claim to be able to taste two flavours in particular.

"These particular flavours are paper and cardboard.
According to scientists, if you experience these tastes when eating, it could be a sign that you have the coronavirus."

Therefore by implication aircrews have had Covid-1984 for decades as this is what crew meals always used to taste like?! :)) =))

Fabrice flies the B777. He went there about 8 years ago after NetJets kicked out the French and Belgians (long horrible story that one).

Indeed. I often eat cardboard for desert. Now I know.

Could account for the nausea felt after eating in the T3 canteen :ymsick:

Re - the invasion fleet. We were down in K3's neck of the woods last week. We'd always seen a few stray ships/boats in Torbay but never seen anything that can carry pax before. Seven when we were there but subsequent research with the AIS app shows many more; and many in Lyme Bay; many east of Weymouth/Portland and a good collection around the Isle of Wight. Interesting that some of them are moored and never move apart from a swing with the tide whilst others appear moored but seem to take an almost daily jolly around the area, or down the Channel to Lands end & back; or just a meander around for a few hours. Talking of meandering we saw a sign to Compton Abbas on the way back so stopped off - given the current restrictions they have an excellent cafe and plenty of heavier than air machines to look at and wander around.

PHX, you could well be right. The ground is pervious limestone. It was a few feet from a 17th century Chapel that has been rebuilt and extended as a house. Our ground had been a small nursery and orchard.

The tartan patterned cardboard box served by BA on the flight to Brussels was a welcome addition to its contents.

One is impressed with the DVLA. I needed to renew my driving licence so I went on line on Monday, filled in the application and the new licence arrived this morning. Most surprised as DVLA were stating that it would be a couple of weeks at least due to Covid. Seeing it had come from a lockdown area, I put the envelope and covering letter through the shredder and washed my hands after putting the licence in my wallet - can't be too careful can we?
It's always my fault - SWMBO

"Honey" badger is the most brilliant marketing name I've ever heard!

Actually, they are absolute bastards, but the honey name just gives them the edge.

Mailed the last cheque payment to my telecom provider - they will no longer accept cheques from the end of Nov.

Futurely I will be paying by cash, so there.

Made some cocoa.

Some years ago a lab did a test. They fed some rodents on cornflakes to see how well they did. The control group was fed on the cardboard box which had previously contained the cornflakes. Apparently the control group thrived better than the other group.

Morning folks. Once ordered a veggie lunch from in-flight catering Brize. It was tinned peas in a curry sauce. It ended up on the catering officer's desk, unconsumed I must add. Got a massive camel thorn branch down. Fortunately it missed everything. Chap coming to remove it. Unfortunately our chain saw is in Greece. Would like to get it here but we are always hand luggage only. Actually, I have never seen chainsaws listed as banned hand luggage, may give it a bash. Just awaiting news of the funeral on Amorgos yesterday, it will have been a big one. Just sent condolences to her brother (USA) and sister (UK). Apologised for the e-mail instead of hand written letter. Very bad form.

Chainsaw going.

The Aldi flakes, slightly more expensive of the two sorts they sell, are great. Read the nutrition info on the packet side.
Off to Monica the lovely dentist today for a check and clean from her colleague.
Chainsaw here yesterday, audible but not visible. A few folk in the urbanization last night.

Good morning good people.
Breezy here which is helping to bury the garden under a blanket of leaves.
They can stay there until the rest join them now and I'll have a mass clear up later.

Much cloud in evidence and although dry at present rain is in the air for later.
A tad warmer than of late at 14C but the high is only forecast to be 16C.

TODAY IS YET ANOTHER FRIDAY
For the completely confused, it is Friday 30th October 2020.

Last day of freedom for the Derbyshire lot to the west of me who go into Tier 2 at midnight
and the Nottinghamshire lot to the east of me go into Tier 3 at midnight. Only this bastion
of Northwest Leicestershire remains at Tier 1 as a rallying call against the dark evil creeping
across the land. For how much longer though ?

I would explain the Tier system we have here in England but I have a life to live. :D
