Karma chameleon is a bitch...

Good song, but our perverse humour meant that Smoke of the Water was the song 'de nuit' that night, played so loudly that the more gentrified folk across the railway line called the police who arrived en masse, heavily armed with machine guns, to sush us. When I asked one of them whether they needed their weapons in our case, the cop, most of them who weren't much older than us, just laughed, noting what was going on and said, no they were on the way to Langa, a black township which had exploded into violence again, and stopped by as there had been a complaint! You could see that they would rather have stayed and partied with us :)

These days, I look back and realise we must have been hell to live near and Ex-Ascot would not have been best pleased. You live and you learn I guess.

Ex-A:
Don't get too greedy with the lemons.
At my last house I had a peach tree that was a prolific producer of numerous large peaches. I propped up the limbs rather than culling some to reduce the stress. Large wind comes along and several of the boards come down along with several limbs.
The tree was never the same again.

At the moment we have five cruise ships moored in the bay, last nights storm was severe enough to make one of them drag its anchor.

Today peaked at 16°c for less than five minutes, passing 13 on the way down, I lit the burner half an hour ago.
SM has gone into Nerja to try to sort glasses. I will wager she will need a written appointment to go to collect.

Graham the chameleon was a thinker, a scholar at heart, and even though he looked a little like Marty Feldman, he didn't enjoy being laughed at, he was not apt to be beguiled by our flies and shallow thinking. I suspect that he found our company a little too lowbrow and simply moved on. Interestingly enough one of the trio of blokes I mentioned is now the head of the Philosophy Department at a well know university, which I will not mention to spare his blushes, as he was the biggest shagger of the lot of us. I must upbraid him for not talking more deeply to Graham, who we all loved dearly.

PS - Woody has met two of the villains involved (of which I am one)... the philosopher was not present at the grape picking Woody... ;)))

A colleague in Hawaii kept chameleons in his home in Arizona, and a neighbour took care of them while he was posted to Hawaii. AFAIK, Henry and his AZ neighbour are still alive, but I don't think the chameleons survived.

Walk at lunchtime, plus 1 degree, wind chill minus 3. Into wind and up a gentle grade was invigorating 😕

On the way home in the dark after collecting repeat prescriptions had to swerve off the road into the muddy and icy verge to avoid an errant sheep that jumped out in front of me. Only just got going again even with 4WD. Ah, the joys of country living!

You know it strikes me that G~MAN worked and flew in Hawaii. He is the kinda guy that might still keep chameleons. Cleary a good dude! Any man that is grieving over the loss of the opportunity to listen to Dr John (RIP) or his ghost (or Bourbon Street) at a Heli Expo, has gotta to be a good guy.

Bad news in UK for chocolate lovers..

Hotel Chocolat has a half price sale some festive ranges. The bad news is some sold out as the Tipsy one was delicious.

Perhaps. But if you are trying to keep to a budget, one has found a simple statement such as, " I have a ten inch tongue and can breathe through my ears" to be very effective.

This conversation should be continued over a drink somewhere! Preferably with the ladies there to keep us in check. ;)))
