Had the jab, very efficient, every office manned by doctor, nurse, whoever. Given a label and off to the room, only once in each room. One way system.
No sensation at all.

I would chase up your flu jab C16.....
I asked about it when I was at the GP for a blood test on Wednesday. It will be early October as usual. Also had a letter from the Scottish Government saying amongst other things that as I’m on the shielding list I’ll get another letter(!) with an appointment.

I had an appointment for a flu jab this morning, the GP surgery had taken over the church hall and divided it up into six areas, name taken at the door and sent to a cubicle where I was told I was not eligible as I'm not 65 years old until next year.

They told me that the government wanted all over 50s to get it but they weren't doing that, if I really wanted it I would have to go to a pharmacy and pay for it!

Why did they give me an appointment in the first place?

K3k3, age is not the only criteria as some might have additional needs, left hand right hand?

I , unfortunately, have a complex medical history which is why I was given the appointment for today, the staff doing the jabbing acted like call centre drones following a script.

I've already sent an email to the doctor who arranged it, telling the whole story. She will sort them out.

Daylight Saving began here earlier this morning, don't like it, darker mornings and light at bedtime, *grizzles*

Fence fixed until the next time. The post will need replacing "in due course". Mrs 4ma assisted by screwing the brackets to the post whilst I held the post vertical. Perhaps I can now get her interested in wielding a paint brush or two/cleaning the car/mowing the lawn.

Don't push it, be glad you got away with it this time. Remember there are times when you sleep. ^#(^

I think the Royal Derby Hospital must be in apres moi le deluge mode.
Last Wednesday week, telephone consultation with urologist: 'No urgency Mr Jim, but I guess we'd better give you a new MRI scan' Thursday telephone call 'we've got a slot at the Nuffield tomorrow' 'Yes please.' Friday: MRI scan.
Monday telephone respiratory consultation. Tuesday telephone call. Wednesday turned up at the clinic. "Oh dear, you've come a day early. But I'll see if I can fit you in. Sit over there.' And within 5 mins of my due time (a day early, though) I was on the machine.
So much for the hospitals being overwhelmed. And for once I could park within 50 metres of the main entrance.

Just 'ad a 'orrible thought. Perhaps they're seeing me so quickly because if they delay I might be dead before I get there.

Due to several factors we are still processing the change of driving license. The Medical and Padron are expired, only three months validity.
Yesterday evening we went for new Medicals. No tests and they re-validated the certificates for half price. Free would have been better but 50% is OK.

I'm getting a Gestoria to do the Traffico bit I can't face it again.

Hope the MRI is good Jim.

Force 8 tramontana still raging. 12°c out. Wind sucking heat out of house. Central heating on for first time since March. Bled radiators yesterday and topped up water. Taking the girls out for lunch today.

Got the high winds down south as well. 20c presently., blue sky and a hint of cloud.

Even fewer people on the paseo this morning.

Morning everybody
23 aiming for 28, has been quite windy gusting 45km/h or so but it is trending down to more sensible levels.
With the wind there is a garden to get out of the pond again. Then it'll need a host of chemicals to get it back to clear.
Have to be done as we have been threatened with a viewing. Still in France at present.

It seemed quite busy this side yesterday, parking difficult.
Next weekend should be Feria, cancelled of course, but they are still having the holiday on Friday.

Followed the dog round the fields. Every day an adventure, I never have any idea where she will takes me. Answers one question, do they plan ahead. She took the most direct route, via the tracks, to the pheasants that we previously encountered on a walk in the opposite direction.

Morning folks. Bit blustery but the fence is still standing. :-bd

Yon aircraft modellers are a serious bunch who turn out some really impressive results. On one thread the discussion was about the MkIII Sunderland. In the blurb about the aircraft, its role and weapons fit there is this little gem:
had a crew of 10, also had four more machine guns, depth charges, anti personnel bombs (against the U-boat crews) and flairs for night operations.
What did they wear during the day?
