Looks like the Ex A's are going to get some new neighbours, one of them will blend in at any rate.
House sitters?

Right. She'd blend right in. Incidentally, did we ever hear who is house-sitting ? The Capetonians have gone quiet...

Glad to hear LG is doing ok.
If they go to Lesotho, they'll be closer to us than the Ex A's.

Though there aren't many ways out of Lesotho on this side. Its sort of shut in by mountains!

A base in Lesotho would also slow down their social life.

I hope all of you had a lovely Easter Sunday.

Ours was mundane but, in it's own little way, close to perfection.

Awoke to a bright dawn promising a fine day and woke the Black Bitch from her dreams to haul her across the fields for an hour. Stunning morning with a fair amount of wildlife.

Home and change for Mass where Sproglette 2 was singing in the choir. Beautiful service which focused nicely on the children in the congregation. Surprised when Sproglette 2 sang a solo which she hadn't told us about. Whatever it was she put a bleusy, gospel feel to it.

Cooked big brekkie when we got home but still did the Easter egg hunt. Then up to the beach at Sea Pauling to walk it off. Wet dog smells in car on way home.

Now cooking an untraditional roast pork joint for find.

Life is good.

Mother in Law's 94th today. Four children, two grand children, three great grand children made it.

Demolished large leg of Welsh lamb and our dog fell in the pond.

Warm enough that she was dry on trip home then hot bath. You should have seen the water colour and she had seemed clean!

Went to Spittelfields Market this morning, never been before, quite amazing. Then home to G&Ts followed by roast lamb with the WFW and a post prandial sleep in the heat of the afternoon.

Do they attempt to find places for 'displaced' passengers by reserving seats ahead of the delayed landing? (In this instance the same airline throughout.)
Or do they sell the seats to whoever rolls-up first?
The airline seems to have reserved seats for my son and his family on the next ongoing flight - just two and a half hours to wait - even though there were no seats available online.
The previous ongoing flight left ten minutes after their incoming flight arrived - obviously no chance - though that flight was full.
The airline (Finnair) looked after the delayed passengers very well with unlimited soft drinks (and meal vouchers after three hours though the vouchers were of limited 'value' at 2am as most airport concessions were closed and who wants to eat at 2am? - but the thought was there).
When the passengers reached the intermediate destination the onward travel booking was all arranged and more meal vouchers were provided (even though the original schedule would have involved a similar wait for the connection).

So, although the journey was extended, the airline staff made certain that the delay was as pleasant as possible - extra staff were brought in to the departure airport as soon as the delay looked to be 'significant'.
The pilot addressed the passengers and explained that his inspection had revealed a missing panel and he wasn't prepared to fly without it. It took 4 hours to source and fit a replacement, but the passengers were kept informed with as much information as was available.

Mrs C16 nearly leapt out of her chair as a result of the sudden shock ending of tonight’s episode of Line of Duty. I wasn’t far behind! Jed Mercurio writes an incredible script.

C16, far better to leap than to throw up.

Obviously Hastings is the guilty party, so I wonder who it really is. We have already lost one H. Is it the one bunging Hastings all the money? Why is he giving Hastings the money?

Please no spoilers.

It will be weeks, maybe months, before it is on our satellite channel.

Morning. Just had brekky. Another day same as yesterday. HKG is getting thrashed in the thunderation and +RA dept lately and today will be no exception.

Ap reported earlier today the telly said our digs should see the first TS of the year (via a newly formed heat low). Confirms my hunch the Wet will arrive early sometime next month. Hope sports teams, boy scouts and tourists will stay clear of the caves this time.

My day off will be on the 24th followed by the 30th. I intend to spend the former in Howard Hughes mode bumming around all day in bed sleeping and watching in-house telly movies and only getting up for dunny visits and answering the door when room service arrives. Only difference is I won't be bottling my pee.

Next month's roster not due till end of this week. While I'm not expecting it to be brutal like this month there will be a lot of evening starts.

Evening all, heading off to bed shortly for a 5am start. Dog show today, middle dog picked up another three points towards her grand champion title. I also, on the spur of the moment, entered her for her Canine Good Citizen test and she passed that too. then this afternoon I saw blood spots on the floor and sure enough, we now have three dogs in heat because she's joined the other two in that condition.

Morning all, another sunny day. Lunch with BIL and wife at Fischer's today, but won't last as long as the OpsNormal lunch there a few weeks ago.
