OK question to you military folk. When the Royal Family stand on the balcony of Buck House after a wedding, HMQ's Birthday etc, why do those in uniform not wear hats? It is outside.

Edit, why is the Duke of York not in uniform here?

No, I actually thought about this one. It could have been after the Trooping of the Colour which he doesn't take part in. Only Army not RN.

OFSO. I think that she has been away all weekend at their lodge in the bush and hasn't noticed it yet. Too late now anyway. It has it's hooves pointing to the sky.

Nice evening just hope it rains again tomorrow.

Evening all,
Been a crisp day just scraping 20c at a peak.
Windy now so crystal clear.
A fine sunset has passed and Africa was clearly visible again.

Got something similar to Rawlbolts to attach the Wx station support. Just failing to understand why they are in packs of three.
I need four.

After a minor smoke event got a sweep coming on Thursday, Rain is guessed, don't suppose he will go on the roof in the wet, I won't in the dry.
He has been before good clean worker with a little English.

After 25 years of non chimney sweeping we had a chimney fire last March. Highly dramatic and very noisy. Has now been swept. And stove lit as usual tonight and CH on as after the usual warm(ish) November day it's cold again tonight outdoors and in.

Hard to tell from this angle, but is Harry also not in uniform?
And who threw the meringue at Mrs Wills's head?

I remember a piccy of the Royals on the balcony after Philip had dropped a ripe one.

Regarding splinters, we had two words. A spail was for lighting the fire, and a skelf was stuck in your finger.

Woke this morning to what appeared to be a fog ,only problem the smell of smoke is overpowering. All of the Sydney basin is covered in smoke from the fire in the national park about 30k up the road from me,it is reported to have a fire front of 600k and now burnt out about 130,000 hectares.Total fire front of all
fires burning in NSW is reported to be about 6000 k, with no rain in sight to help douse the fires. The aircraft fleet has been strenghtened, with the arrival of the DC10 tanker from the USA but it will only be rain that will do the job that the poor volunteer firies are trying to do at present.

bob2s, back in 2007 after a major fire in a national park few kms Northwest from where I lived there were ashes scattered around. Not a nice feeling.

Ex-A you might have the chance to invest a bit more in the anti-theft system

Morning folks. Yes saw that RiS. Well we do occasionally have a leopard on the corner of the estate.

They promised us rain today. No sign. After they screwed up the TAF at MUB yesterday he is going for a PROB 30 TEMPO TSRA. He will stick that in every day now until March. the garden is dying. Three banana plants down this morning. Fortunately they all have youngsters.

The cow the other side of the 'lagoon' is still dead. 13 bats, no pelicans.

All CCTV cameras working this morning also on infra red last night. We found out yesterday why they wouldn't work at night before. The internet guy had moved some plugs around and plugged the system into an extension which was on a timer for the fan during the day. I was telling our Rhodesian electrician friend how much electricians get paid in the UK. He pointed to our setup and said yes but guess that this would not be allowed in the UK.

I have no part in any of that except the plug at the top with the orange lead which goes to the timer for the fan. And, we were keeping 80 ltrs of petrol in there :-o As of 5 mins ago we have moved the petrol outside. We were told by the electrician not to keep our pool chlorine in there. apparently the fumes corrode wires. Never knew that.

Just going up to the safari camp for a few beers, see if our pelicans are up there.

Ex-A, that looks dodgy, have you got fire extinguishers? Water mist extinguishers are the latest and can be used on practically any type of fire from dodgy electrics, solar ovens and Botswanan thatch.

Have you got a good lock on the door to the electrical (trying to think of a word to describe that picture) stuff? Pull the plug and it's...
